What do you think about using Wither as your proc spell instead of Incinerate? It has almost the same base cast rate as Incinerate but it gives you that 7% increased chaos damage done stacking up to 20 times (assuming you are using Consuming Dark to convert your fire to chaos) for a 140% damage increase and providing a slight defensive buff with the movement slow.

I just tried it out and I'd say go for it if it's a skill you prefer. You'll see a drastic difference in speed tho compared to incinerate (I just tested both). Incinerate is quite faster.

So the bonus damage granted by Wither doesn't outweigh the cast speed loss? Interesting I figured it would be about the same or better depending on how long a boss fight goes on. I think on like Uber or T15 extra health bosses Wither would come out ahead giving you time to stack it up more.

The build in itself is very time sensitive.
Tier 14 bosses and down die in a matter of under 1 second up to sometimes 2 seconds.
Incinerate is significantly faster and each extra explosion is a ton of damage.
For longer fights like tier 15 Koam, wither's slower speed and ramping chaos damage buff would not outweight the dps you get from exploding that much faster.

So poison ticks for 10% x 5.37 x 1.4 = 75.18% of initial dmg per second for atleast 3.9 seconds. But as far as I have read about poison, atleast at the moment area dmg modifiers are applied for poison, too (although they shoudltn afaik). So the current poison dmg would be modified by 457% by tree, x1.4 by Void Manipulation and x1.6 by Concentraded Effect. For
10% x 5.57 x 1,4 x 1.6 = 124.768% of initial dmg per second.

Poison in this case would only be good for bino's heal which you don't actually need. And what you sacrifice for that is the fast boss kills and the shatters. Not to mention that with or without poison, you'll still be killing things so fast that poison won't make any difference (unless you were to proliferate it somehow).
Shatters and ridiculous boss kills are what makes this build so outrageous. Your build would absolutely work, simply because of the mechanic of this skill. But you would lose a lot in terms of quality of life.
If you insist in going poison, then you would need to find a way to proliferate it so that at the very least you get more AoE than I do right now. To me, that'd be the only way I'd be interested in the change.
You gotta remember VMS essentially has 100% crit chance if your initial cast was a crit. So the tooltip is lying to you. It's much higher in reality if you go crit.

Bino's auto proliferates it. Also you could link Warlords with Bloodmagic and take Pain Atunement to further boost the dmg. But to your build, why exactly do you use added chaos and not void manipulation? The wiki states no dmg effectiveness for VMS so I assume its 100%. And 100% of added chaos would be +235 chaos dmg, compared to Void Manipulation, which adds 1k dmg. Or am I missing something here?

Well first of all the damage effectiveness of VMS is 200%.
And then it's the way the math is done. We're using consuming dark which scales its chaos damage on our fire damage. Void manipulation reduces that original fire damage which in turn makes us deal less chaos damage.

Im aware of how Consuming Dark works. But I still have to miss something, just recalculated it and even with the 200% dmg effectiveness Void Manipulation should be ahead of Added Chaos (without even factoring in Poison).

I'd have to try the gem out and see. It's possible you could be right. I gotta be honest, I didn't tinkle much with the new gems. If my carcass wasn't corrupted, I'd try it out now.
If you're working on the build, could you try both gems and see which one gives you the higher dps?
