Can't access Act 4 after killing Dominus

I killed Dominus on normal, proceeded to the Aquaduct. In Aquaduct I found a Vaal side area, so I went in and killed boss. When I went to take the portal back to Aquaduct it said "You do not have the required quest state".

So I tried to exit through the entrance to the vaal area, same thing. So I logged out, and when I came back I was in the Act 3 town. My quest log says I have completed "The Scepter of the God" quest, and I can see the Act 4 Aquaduct WP when I go the waypoint menu.

However, when I try and take the waypoint it again says "You do not have the required quest state".

Anyone know what happened?

Did you kill Dominus in a party or solo? I used to see reports before Act 4 was released where people in a party got the kill Dominus quest but then couldn't enter the portal that appeared because they were too far from Dominus when he died.

Regardless, have you tried killing him again?

I killed dominus and the gate for aquaduct did not open. Stuck.

Did you talk to Dialla or did she not show up? How did you kill him? Did he die while you were resurrecting and out of the area?

I just killed Dominus and the entrance to act 4 does not show up.
In addition everytime I restart the game, the map is still there and all the mobs are dead, so I can't even rekill Dominus.

What to do?

Same thing happened to me just now. Killed Dominus and portal to act 4 didint open...

The Waypoint to the Aqueduct is unlocked once you kill him. Go back to a waypoint, go to the Act IV tab and jump to that waypoint. And then, away you go. Just had the same issue myself.

Unless, as the OP said, you keep getting "You don't have the quest state" message when you try to portal to Aqueduct. Read the OP

I just came across the same problem. . . :(

I wonder if newly made characters will have the same problem..?
