Hello Grocery

thank you for your guide, I have been following quite a few guides you have made so far;

As I do not play each season of PoE I am still not very used to Jewels.

Would you be so kind and let me know what kind of jewels you put into the tree?
What kind of affixes you are looking?
When is it worth it?

Thanks a lot man, keep up the good work

It's worth it when the jewel is better than the 2-3 nodes you could otherwise pick up.

Go for life, chaos dam, proj dam, area dam, damage, damage over time, etc.

Does increased physical damage provide the same benefits as other increased damage mods? (I was under the impression that the projectile is physical, and that's what determines the strength of the dot)

No, increased phys dam does nothing besides the initial hit. As such, PPAD Gem does not effect the cloud.

Projectile damage nodes do work on the dot though.

Hey Grocery, thanks for posting this guide. I was able to down Atziri, and guess what? I got a 6L Thicket from her. So I decided to craft a +3 bow on my CA character.
. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
About to start leveling, just doing some maps to level up my CA so I can get it 20q, but before I start, are there any major gamebreaking negative sides to being either scion or shadow, as in are there huge differences?
I dont have a preference per say I just want to get the most out of my character (:

Scion has access to potentially more jewel slots. With GG jewels it is pretty sweet. Scion is a bit more versatile int hat it has more Ascendancy options. Deadeye is must for the pierce and extra projectile. You then have an option for the second class. I go occultist but you can do others like berserker, etc.

Shadow has free frenzy charge generation kill without blood dance. It also has much more mana due to weave of the arcane. That means we can run Grace and Arctic Armor much easier. Clarity is not needed, but can still be used if need be. You do have to take piercing nodes on tree.

I really like both classes. I play both tbh.

HC though, Duelist is the way to go. Fortify too strong, extra movespeed too strong.

Well I already have leveled a scion, might as well try shadow now, as for the duelist option, I am not playing HC despite that I do like being tanky but nah, I'll go shadow.
I'm not looking forward to lab though, every single ranged class I've leveled I've struggled there, hope this will be slightly better ^^
