lol tried same 6l setup(same tree) just get 18K dps in town, no way get next to 40 K ;)

where is the trick ?

concentrated effect is not included in the tooltip mate. 26k for me multiplied by 1.6. you would multiple your tooltip by the more multiplier your conc effect gives, depending on level.

Yeah sorry Grocery, wasn't saying that to disparage your tooltip but rather in reponse to the person who was asking how its possible to hit 35k.
I collab talk to Dyg alot on TS re: PA (CA) theorycrafting, and while HP does give more dmg overall it does have its drawbacks-

Can also confirm that it is indeed more expensive in most cases to roll that gear if you cant find it on poe.trade, as there is little room for variance and getting t1/t1 takes a ton of alts (and in the right res combinations).

Have been considering dropping the chest HP slot to run kaoms however, as that would bring the build to around 6500 life, this being with Ubers in mind, wherein the benefits of lightning coil are slightly lower (Vaals are by far the hardest fight for PA).

2 dmg mod Jewels + life are also quite expensive (1-3ex generally) which doesnt seem like a ton- but compared to most builds its insanely expensive for a 3 mod jewel, not to mention you should be runnning several of them (at least 4), particularly with HP as you will have a ton of flat life from gear so its important to get the life %-- similarly, additional dmg has greater benefit now as a result of all the supports being "more multipliers" (with the exception of empower, of course).

certainly merits to both approaches, on the whole damage isnt much of an issue so its just managing your defensive stats and mobility that is problematic.

As a final note CA's current theoretical maximum tooltip is approximately 41k without rallying cry and Conc effect taken into consideration. This is assuming 2 dmg mod jewels and life, and not 3 dmg mod jewels as those are next to unobtainable in leagues, also with the tree at level ~90.

Can +/- that figure for personal choices (if you decide to forego some defensive stats to pick up ranger proj nodes for example), however on the whole- Caustic arrow does more damage than it did previously, so it is in a pretty good spot.

Would suggest swapping out conc effect for rarity or inc aoe while mapping though- as we only obtain 55-65% pierce now while using drillneck, the multi cloud spreading is unreliable, moreover due to the new supports pushing inc aoe out of the norm, the cloud radius is quite small which can seriously hurt clear speeds while mapping. Even if you drop conc, one cloud is generally enough to kill mobs in most midtier->lower end high tier maps anyways (assuming you have ~20k cloud dps which is easily obtainable)

Fun build though and great guide! Always like to see different takes on it. Keep up the good work.

How about swapping conc effect for pierce? I already have the drillneck anyway, pierce gives me 70% pierce chance which is 70% increased damage (with drillneck) right? How bad does conc effect hurt your clearspeed? I loved pierce since 1 arrow would poison the entire screen if you pulled a big group of mobs. Or maybe drop slower porjectiles and run pierce + conc effect?

Conc effect is a huge dps boon likely the largest outside a level 4 empower. I would not swap it out but it can also be a preference. If you like to run without it that is fine. This is not a right or wrong choice.

where u get your intelligence from, i have massive problems with mana and leveling up intelligence skills, im currently lvl59 and my stats are:

int: 68

Hey everyone!

I'm now transitioning from midgame maps to some more lategame maps, I am slowly becoming more and more against phase acro at this point. I don't have a lightning coil or taste yet, so physical damage reduction is becoming a priority. Currently, with a belly I am sitting at 5.6k life, 49% evade, 40% dodge attacks and 30% spell dodge. I feel evasion is efficient, but it's tailored to a more skilled play style. I was considering dropping phase acro and going Iron reflexes to gain the guaranteed physical reduction instead of rolling the dice everytime with phase acro. I was also planning on picking up a Rumi's to sortof substitute the lack of spell / attack dodge until I can afford a taste / coil.

Anyone have any thoughts or advice?

I am level 85 btw, 14k tooltip nooblord :^)

Edit: forgot to add, I would probably switch back to phase acro if/when I can afford a coil / taste.

I would probably substitute a kaom's plate for chest slot also, not sure which would be better, phase acro or IR with that though. :S so many decisions

I'm wondering if anyone has a confirmation that Concentrated Effect actually work on Caustic Arrow's damage?
Cause I've been trying this build and when I equip the support, nothing changes on the tooltip numbers.
Is this a hidden thing or what?

As has been said multiple times in many CA threads, it DOES work :). It does not show up on the tooltip though. Test it for yourself it i a 60% MULTIPLIER, so things will die much faster. Tooltip doesn't include everything and can be deceiving for many builds.

I get it on gear. For all builds, getting it on gear is always the best option. If you can't get it on gear get it from the tree. The trees are just suggested paths, everyone has different needs so feel free to think about your needs and make some changes when necessary!

Thanks for your answer. I actually did a little testing myself yesterday before posting, but didn't go any far because it was late here already and maybe I got deceived on the clearing, because i swapped the Conc. Effect for pierce.

Edit: It's been a while I've been willing to ask you if you have ever considered rolling a Spell Totem-Wither setup...? I've found this to be really helpful for both clearing and positioning as it boosts your damage and slow enemies at the same time.
What are your thoughts on this?

Hey Grocery - the build's been working great, thanks for sharing it!

Question to all, how does CA interact with uniques like Snakebite or Rotgut?

Does Onslaught do anything for the build, damage-wise, or is the benefit we get from Frenzy charges mainly in the evasion and attack speed?
