The Ascendancy Supporter Packs!

All the hate for the supporter packs lewl...

See guys, in the awakening packs was an entrance to the closed beta, a weapon effect per pack, the shade of whatsoever, of course the forum title for the highest pack you bought, the new soundtrack for act 4 aaand the portrait frame right? Oh yeah the t-shirt and the novel (thx to gamepedia)

All in all pretty nice in fact that you buy the points you get for the packs too have the same value as the price of each pack.

What do we get now?

A pet, a damn fine pet, if it's beautiful or ugly is everyone's decision, but it's a pet. a mtx wich costs ~80 bugs PER PET, a weapon effect too wich is coming later (read the quote in the entry), the goddamn whole soundtrack from PoE (new crypt music mhhh I'm coming), still a forum title for the highest pack you earned, oh yeah did I meantion that you get the pets from the lower packs, too??? NICE?! Also you get a t-shirt as well, SIGNED artwork from the ascendancy expansion, you're able to purchase a divination card if you want to (only with the highest pack tho..), a portrait frame and with the highest pack you get a portal effect.
The first two packs don't give you the same amount of points as you pay for the pack, but you get a pet, wich is not the cheapest mtx in game.

Besides the content of these packs, you support GGG.
I mean yeah you could simply buy points, but if we would buy dozens of points GGG didn't have to make supporter packs, right?

Hello from Brazil!
Many people are disappointed with the value proposition of these new supporter packs. While I am personally very pleased with the new effects, and handled the pricing myself, I am very ready to admit I was wrong.
We will be adding portal effects to the two lowest packs and will be creating new weapon effects to go in all packs (four tiers total). Like with other recent packs, higher packs include all lower effects.
The team are hard at work on these new effects and we'll unveil them as soon as we can (next week?).
All packs purchased now will of course retroactively have the new effects added to them once they are ready.
Thanks again for your great support and the positive comments about the new packs. They just got a lot more tempting, I hope!

Is Chris in Brazil right now (which city)? Is there gonna be a meetup event? :D
It's really thoughtful the attention given to players in this region, myself included (I just saw that there is even a full description of the Talisman update in Portuguese)...

Disappointed there's no Black Friday sale. :( I know we were specifically told not to expect half off everything again the next year, so while I'm hoping to see it, I don't mind if it's something else instead... but there ought to be SOME bigger sale, especially to go along with the surge of points-buying that comes with new supporter packs. Hoping to see something for Cyber Monday.

Supported. One of the sadder moments was when I had to ask for my diamond support to be refunded (extremely early in the process) as I had miscalculated my down payment for the mortgage, and I needed the 1000 I had pledged. GGG helped me then, so I support them as I can now. Thank you.
