The Ascendancy Supporter Packs!

Not a fan of the first two packs. The third one looks pretty nice.

On a side note, are there t-shirts for sale like the one in the second pack? The one for sale on J!nx has a logo that looks washed out.

Wing effect looks awesome, I hope one of the weapon MTXs has a similar look. It's got that great Divine/Eternal looks to it

Pets/Weapon FX/Portal FX, too meh for me. Really was hoping that youd guys do armour packs for potentially one of the most game changing expansions to date.

Cant see myself buying any of the packs to be honest. Pets/Portal effects are even lower on my list than Weapon effects.

Even with the addition to a portal for the lower tier packs each, just $50 for that when older packs like the Journeyman were about that price, cant see myself buying them, but im sure theres hardcore supporters who will.

I would buy armour supporter packs immediately like i did before.

Journeyman was actually the $100 price point pack . . . I know, because if it had been $50 I would have bought it. :P

It seems odd that, with all the posts I've seen asking for pets again for the next supporter pack, that so many are against it. I also think it's interesting to note here that pet + portal is being decried as the worst value, yet the release packs only had the portal plus a far-less-dynamic back attachment (although those portals were awesome).

That said . . . I do think there are some clear areas that needed improvement, and the pricing was a bit confounding. Just a bit of constructive criticism here, if the good folks at GGG can bear continuing to read this after 20+ pages of not-so-flattering response:

1. Intended to be more affordable, yet $50 entry level (this was mentioned)? I think having 5 packs with a lower entry level is a benefit for everyone purchasing a pack, because aside from offering an easier entry point, it also offers more to every other pack. I know I've gotten a crapton of use out of my Awakening MTX!

2. The entry level had less features than any other $50 entry level pack, and only pets until the $220 pack. This is being addressed, but I have to wonder why?

Those are the two main concerns. I think that having a much lower-priced highest pack with design options (assuming it's at a similar price to before) was a great idea-- and yes, it's over the top, but I dig the quasi-chimera! It's supposed to be over the top! I also think it's worth noting that with portals, pets and weapon effects, this will actually offer the most out of any supporter packs! Can't wait to see the new effects, and great response time!

While the top-tier pack is a bit over the top in my opinion, I think all the packs were actually quite acceptable.

People seem to forget that these packs are called Supporter packs and are there simply to support GGG. With all these packs people are simply buying points and anything they get beyond that is pure bonus.

The first pack nets slightly less points than you would get just buying points outright but offers up a pet and social frame plus soundtrack for essentially 5 dollars. Not a bad deal at all to support a worthwhile company.

The second pack again a fraction less points, but now includes 2 pets and frames, soundtrack AND a T-shirt with free shipping for again only 5 dollars. An even better deal than before.

The 3rd and 4th packs offer the full amount of points per dollar and everything beyond that is FREE. FREE mtx's, FREE t-shirt, FREE artwork, FREE signed artwork for the 4th pack

It's dissapointing how people can still complain about free content that they are not required whatsoever to purchase to get any enjoyment out of the game. Many people have been gracious by merely saying, "Thanks, but no thanks." Many more have acted like spoiled little brats by pointing to previous packs (limited time deals) and complaining because those other packs got more 'cool' stuff according to their own personal subjective opinions despite any context around those other packs like content and price.

Regardless, it's awesome that Chris is going to sweeten the pot. Even though he is placating to community, in the end I suppose it's a good call for GGG even if a bit disappointing. The more money GGG brings in, the longer they'll stick around and deliver more content. I don't want them turning into EA or Ubi, but at the same time GGG should charge whatever they feel is appropriate for their own hard work a for a completely FREE to play game.

(I still can't quite wrap my head around how people complain about the prices of completely OPTIONAL content that has no impact on the game at all.)

Exactly! People acting like the original supporter packs are bad are really entitled

A lot of effort went into those pets, art, animation is top notch. They're worth WAY MORE than < 50 points

Most other pets cost more, and they aren't as detailed.

All this complaining is going to create Supporter Pack Inflation where GGG will feel the need to BUNDLE IN weapon effects EVERYTIME to appease a mob of entitled gamers
