HYPE !!!
this new pet look awsome | |
i do like three things in games: creepy horror dungeons, steam punk and gargoyles. you were stunning me with your integration of the first two and now it seems i'm also getting the third.
can you read minds? i'm absolutely faszinated already how it will turn out but i'm sure it will be as amazing as the game already is. sincerely, your whitest knight ;) age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

I'm looking forward to more updates so soon after Awakening, and I'll certainly pay for a supporter pack to keep GGG flying high.
However, I do have one question. ...with the addition of another forum supporter badge, will we soon see scrolling supporter badge div tags? ;-) For some of those contributing users who've been here a long time, they're getting pretty long! ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

" Was your favorite option on a multiple choice question always "all of the above?" I think this is a great expansion feature that introduces some concepts from the games I loved long ago (AD&D games like Baldur's Gate, IWD, etc.) where defining a class was what it was all about. PoE is borrowing from these ideas and working them in - albeit at the end of the game and not from the start. These small hybrid features are definitely welcome. ✰CARD✰ The Survivalist
I can’t buy any more big supporter packs because the forum only supports showing 7 legacy tags. |

So one of the pets is going to be a gargoyle...
Is that going to make all the other pets gargoyles? If the past tells us anything about support pack pets, then the rest of the pets will be a gargoyle as well. CB? All kiwis. OB? All rhoas. I hope some of the gargoyls look more terrifying in the higher packs. Maybe even flying instead of walking like the one we see here. Bring back race seasons.

" I also like the fact that each class will be more "distinct" now. However, I feel that the 3 "sub-classes" of each class choice should be FULLY detailed in an official location (web-site, in-game) and easily found BEFORE starting a character... Here's an example for why this is important. I want a character focusing on grabbing all generic elemental and spell damage nodes + casting speed + crit chance/damage. I want this because I want a character to crit cold damage dependably and for high damage to sustain permanent freeze while being able to use other elemental spells equally well. When looking at the easily found and viewed passive tree on Pathofexile.com, I can see this is equally accomplished by starting as the witch, shadow, OR templar (my main character in fact did start as witch long ago (day 1) for this build). Now I find out that my witch will be inferior to a shadow doing the same thing...because he has access to the "assassin" sub-tree which has AMAZING power charge bonuses! This upset me for half a second until I remembered I have months to get another shadow leveled up and ready to take over this role on my account :) Some won't have this luxury... (maybe GGG should allow an actual CLASS-CHANGE with this next respec?) However if I was someone just starting out in the new expansion and wanted my first character to be "perfect" (according to that player's vision for his/her character), I'd be extremely frustrated by this "mistake" that occurred only because I didn't know the shadow had exclusive access to the sub-tree most suited for critical hits and damage (in relation to spells). This is just an example, because for all I know, one of the remaining 2 witch specializations will have even better/similar power charge upgrades...or other ways of increasing crit chance/damage etc...(though if it's better for my desired goal, then someone doing the same thing but starting out as shadow will be in my current imagined boat instead) TLDR: Anyone making a build using a class that doesn't have access to a specialization focusing on their build "goal" will be inferior now to those doing the same build from a class that does have access. This is okay for existing characters since it's NEW content, but new characters/players starting out after the expansion's launch need quick/easy access to information on sub-classes to make informed starting-class choices for their planned build. Perhaps GGG should allow a class-change with the next skill-respec to keep peeps from having "inferior" class choices for their chosen builds... |

Nice one. Don't really care about how long it takes to ship the goods. (waited for some months for the artwork back in forsaken masters but hey. I got them at some point and supported one of my favourite games.)
But pets. Hype. There goes my plan of buying a new GPU. Thanks GGG. :P |

Release on Black Friday? Are there gonna be discounts on other stuff? I bought many stash tabs last Thanksgiving when they were half off. Now I'm preparing to buy more.
