(2.6) Demopolos' Ultimate Facebreaker: 6L Shield Charge (500k) or Cyclone (1.4m) w/ 4L Warchief
can I see a screenshot of this 80k shield charge tooltip? cause the highest I'm getting is 65k fully buffed: 4 frenzy, taste, roar, atziri and flame golem. I have 993% facebreakers and wondering why im 15k short of 80k

Was wondering if anyone can check my profile out on BurnieMadeMeBust, i only get 127k base damage on cyclone, can't get anywhere near the 600k, would like around 300-400k but can't even get that.

Sorry for the super long hiatus... have been busy/traveling!
" I just took a screen with current dps loadout... it's 75.7k @ 3.95 aps right now. It was over 80k when I used flame golem, but the lightning golem is superior for clear speed (aps actually makes shield charge move faster). Here it is: If you aren't missing any flat damage on your gear and all your gems are capped out (i.e. all the optimal 21/20 and 20/23 depending on gem)... you are probly missing dps on your jewels. It takes a long time to get all of yours to 4 optimal rolls! Hope this helps. " I'd take a look but your guy didn't have any gear when I just checked profile! If your dps is that low... definitely take a bit of time to read guide. It's always maxxing out your flat phys rolls, getting your gems leveled/quality, getting jewels, using optimal pathing in tree, and snagging extra strength/speed in your rare gear slots. Tips for all of this in the OP! Last edited by demopolos#3839 on Jul 31, 2016, 6:31:29 AM

Hey, demopolos,
I really enjoy your Shield Charge setup *-* !! Insane clearspeed and good damage. I've got a question, since I really love ( really ) the Raider class, what do you think about full attack speed ( with frenzy charge ) and movement speed instead of the Slayer class. Personally, the only good bonus I see on Slayer, is the +20% AoE Area, but I don't feel the difference. Maybe i'm crazy :P I really like the spamming "Shield Charge", you cross the map in 1 sec, and it's quite good for single target. Tell me what you think ! I would like to see what are the pros / cons of Slayer and Raider for this build. |
|
Do you recommend the cyclone variation for best "overall" build? Though shield charge looks sooo fun haha. Cool stuff!
Edit: Well I'm dumb, it says "cyclone is best" how do you feel it compares to the other cyclone builds like the slayer life leach cyclone? I really wanna get back into a cyclone but got discouraged after nerfs. Last edited by SolemnKnight#1370 on Jul 31, 2016, 8:59:16 PM

" Thanks mate! I love the build too, so fun. I also love the raider class, and think it could be really amazing with +2 charge darkray vectors. That said, the tree would be a lot different starting from ranger so it would need to be refined, and you have to factor in those differences in comparing the subclasses. In terms of the comparison, with 8 points... Slayer: Honestly amazing AoE (gives that good feel...) and the reduced reflect is solid (trivializes reflect)... as are the MORE damage mods/cull/onslaught. It results in a relaxed playstyle and has proven very effective for me. In all you get... -40%! AoE -50% reduced reflect damage -20% more damage -free onslaught (always up since it lasts 20 sec) -10% attack speed -cull at 20% life -.2% leech -leech effects not removed at full life -overkill damage leeches Raider: Using +2 darkray vectors for all the extra move speed/dodge on top of other bonuses seems really really good to min/max around. To make this optimal, the tree would be geared around getting all the frenzy charges. It would probably be a more damaging but less defensive build, with even faster move speed/attack speed but less AoE. You might also want to stack some eva to min/max around subclass mods and positioning in tree (not sure if this would create issues with reflect). Build would look really different but probably would be an offensive powerhouse. In all you get... -2% move/3% attack speed/3% damage per frenzy charge -20% attack speed -20% increased attack damage (not MORE) -60% evasion -+1 frenzy charge -15% frenzy charge generation on kill (not important since blood rage...) -36% frenzy charge duration -20% chance to gain onslaught for 3 sec on kill -50% increased onslaught effect -20% increased attack damage with onslaught -25% more chance to evade melee/15% more chance to evade projectiles with onslaught Hope this helps! I would be very interested in your experience testing raider (what kind of move/attack speed you achieve with charges in particular). I use raider on my windripper and it's bonkers... I have over 300k TS with that setup. Would be ballin' on facebreaker if you can make defense work. " Not a dumb question! Depends what you want to play. Cyclone is straight up a better boss killer... it shreds. It's reasonably fast for melee to boot too! I think it's a very well rounded build. Shield charge... honestly it is just so so fun and fast. It's one of the fastest builds in the game right now. For low maps... well you can see the sub 1:20 gorge clear in OP. I think I have a vid of full clear on shipyard in like 2:30. It scales pretty well if you have amazing gear and still 1-shots packs on 82 maps, but is a little slower and needs more thoughtful play on harder bosses (placing totem well and keeping active). Both are really good! The tree isn't that different and it's all the same gear so you can just give them a go. Last edited by demopolos#3839 on Aug 2, 2016, 1:46:08 AM

Firstly, thanks for responding to my post !
I would like to thanks you too for the detailed answer. I clearly understood your point of view and I agree. The build would be more offensiv, especially with Darkray. But maybe choosing Frenzy charge Path + Onslaught Path of the Raider is too much. I agree that to have both would be awesome in damage. But if you focus on more resistance, maybe you could go on the Dodge Path of Raider, and chose Frenzy charge if you go Darkray, or Onslaught if not. Well, if you cap 75% in all res, with all block chance and dodge of the Ranger Tree, I think it should be fine. I've made a quick tree on Raider but it's very similar to your, just by starting Ranger. You can compare bonus, but this is not a frenzy charge Tree, totally not. Here's your Duelist Tree Bonus :

Tell me what you think ! Well, btw, I don't really understand how Facebreaker scale , is there any difference in Physical Damage and Melee Physical Damage ? Physical damage are not supposed to be also melee ? It's fucked up in my head :D Last edited by Zanapher91#5515 on Aug 2, 2016, 4:18:33 PM

Greetings,
I just wanted to share my experience leveling with the cyclone part of the build. I chose the cyclone side of the build because I predict it will do better in the 2.4 Atlas update. The builds potential is felt immediately after equipping facebreaker. I started out with a nonlegacy version until I realized I wanted this to be my main build going into 2.4. I would like to start off by saying this build does not need any legacy items to make it to end game. I admit I am not at the end game yet, but talking to demopolos he has done everything you could do with the build, before he started the min/maxing. Level 58

I will also like to add with a very low rolled 648% facebreaker I get 43K dps

I do not really have any real deaths, mostly AFK'ing in the wrong place, alt tabbing, or really not paying attention. All in all this has been the easiest build for me to level. I believe at 18 when I first equipped facebreaker I was at a 600 DPS shield charge, making everything quite simple. Things I recommend while leveling: º Tabula Rasa, easy damage easy life º Meginord's Girdle, if you can spare 1ex get the legacy version º Make your own iron rings with the highest phys roll you can, it will grant a huge DPS increase º Quicksilver flasks with extra movement + extra charges/increase charge, dodge easy mode cyclone º Until you can sustain the mana/life required for cyclone, use far clicks, but be careful. º Use your fist Any question, feel free to ask! Also big shout out to demopolos for the build, allowing me to try to get any more min/max out of it, and letting me be a part of the updates to the build! Updates: Level 60: 128K DPS Level 68: 205k DPS, 7468 Armour, 3.5k hp (Have not got all the life nodes yet), 259 life regen, 36% chance to block, 6 Champion ascendancy points Have not maxed out res, all positive, but not yet capped. Level 83: 293k dps with all slayer buffs, charges, and ias boots enchant 553k dps with above plus flasks Res maxed, 5k+ hp, 7k armor For the final 93 tree I am still missing, 18% ias, 62% melee physical, +16 life, 8% armor, and a jewel slot. Damage creep is still in effect! Last edited by paraNoid_af#5012 on Aug 26, 2016, 4:53:58 PM
