Maybe set the ascendancy archetypes so they are available to more classes? Use the three base stats (int str dex) as guidelines for what can be available to each class? An example is necromancer- it could be an int ascendancy so a Templar Witch or Shadow (and maybe scion) could use it? This would open more build diversity but im unsure what would be a fair choice of ascended classes to allow the scion to choose from.

Don't know why people are assuming it will kill build diversity...seems to me that most of it will be open ended enough to benefit most builds, but then most of the "qq no build diversity" complaints i see seem to be for those that have no imagination or drive, they just want the easy pew pew build and everything else sucks(even though it doesn't)
