This explains it well. After Blasphemy nerf to 35% mana reservation ive NEVER stated that HOI will be part of the core build. Its not even mentioned in the guide on the first page.

- Core build is to run 3 curses in Doedre Scorn for dmg and defences increase.
- Its almost impossible to 5 Blue Lightning Coil to run 4 auras with Enlighten
- In Core build you can even run LC with 1 socket, because second 5-6l is only a quality of life feature.

How did you get that color combo on your staff ?? I cant seem to get it ive used 1000 chromes .

For even faster clear speed I decided to go for 5 linked curses + blasphemy + enlighten lv2 and 4 linked herald of ice + innervate + culling (I want to use ice bite instead of culling strike but it requires enlighten lv3 connected with curses and enlighten lv2 with herald).

The good thing is that it is possible to respect all aura reservation nodes and use only curses connected with enlighten lv2 to gain more hp and survivability (unfortunately for blood magic staff users only). My current hp with herald of ice setup: 4501 and without: 5210

After crafting staff I wanted to swap warlord's mark for something else but than I realized that additional life leech plays a crucial role in reflect maps and boss fights. I've tried many things for boss fights and I can say that using vaal haste, rallying cry (for extra dmg) and atziri flask suits me best. Sure, there is an option with voll's protector and discharge but I felt like I'm missing something in clear speed, besides that perma freez and insane range of ice nova are irreplaceable. Still, blade vortex + increased duration + power charge on crit is good option for keeping power charges during longer fights.

My goal with this build is to kill Ambrius, Legion Slayer, it might require Lightning Coil and Taste of Hate but it should be doable.
