Getting it to level 23 with Empower increases it from 13% less to 14% less phys damage taken and then at level 25 it gets 14% less fire damage taken. Increased Duration is useful for the chill, and since its quality is duration the Enhance gem also works for that if you absolutely must have more.

Ngamahu's Flame is no longer a Colossus Mallet. It is now an Abyssal Axe. Yes, GGG screwed up the picture quite nicely.

Ironically, that armor is best used for iron reflex builds.

You could obviously also go hybrid A/EV with it, but free AA/phase acro without downsides simply means you can stack a shit ton of armor while still getting a layer of spell oriented defense and benefiting more from the flat reduction AA provides.

Raider and atziri steps, 2h cleave/lacerate would net a fun 56% spell dodge on-top of heavy physical oriented defensive layers.

It is pretty good in both Hybrid directions. Trickster with EV/ES or a Armor/EV hybrid. Not sure if you want to go full armor, because you need very little EV to reach something like 20 or 25% Evasion and that is a great mitigation benefit, while the little bit of extra armor you would get will hardly matter.

increased duration + ele prolif would be kind of funny (+ incr aoe not sure if it can support arctic armor)

Ziggy may have mentioned that that chest may or may not have multiple potential upgrade variants? I'm not sure.. But that could be interesting.

I think he's just confused with all the other new Items and such, and isn't sure on the bases.
