I don't know about "since forever" as I am a new player, however if you don't agree with that statement otherwise, they you are mistaken. It a fact that, depending on the league, around 5.5-6.0% of the characters are Duelists IIRC. I'd love to see you site evidence otherwise. Therefore, as the OP stated, Duelists are "demonstrably unused."

That's right, i mean exactly that. 2-5& population means theres something wrong with that class, also he have super weak cluster and first started node.

Oh, my bad, didn't realize "endgame" is your way of saying "cookie cutter".

Nice reading skill.
So, have something to say about your useless items you linked?

Also you have any idea what "endgame gear for melee, non crit melee" means? Or ANY item you liked = true GG endgame, and melee non crit even if not work with melee or crit?

EDIT: Current exact percentages are 6.09% for Standard (least played class), 5.59% for Hardcore (least played class), 5.75% for Warbands (second least played class) and 4.95% for Tempest (least played class).
You are mistaking power for popularity. You can find a more balanced statistical assessment by me here, which looks at performance relative to popularity. It's clear that a lot of players believe Duelist is underpowered (or boring, or just not their style) based on its low popularity, but when you look at actual performance the results are about average, not what I'd call OP but not really underpowered either.

Scion is OP as shit though.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

You might be responding to the OP, I mistook nothing. I was rebutting the disagreement from kcstar concerning the quoted statement, "We all agree Duelist has been demonstrably unused since forever". It is easy to read further into that and infer I was defending the full original post. I was not. I only play Duelist at this early stage in my gaming experience and I find it to be fine with the exception the lack of support for balancing defense between armor and evasion. I agree with your evidence that the Duelist is not underperforming. Thank you for the information you provided; very interesting.

EDIT: I'm surprised to see Templar doing poorly at higher levels. They are showing up the other classes for the current race season. Starting strong out of the gate then gassing out, it seems.
Strictly SSF HC legit dual-wield Duelist.
Women swoon at the sight of him
Men tremble at the thought of him
And few that face him in battle live to tell the tale.

Thats because of defense in general: Scion and Witch have higher ES or life, Ranger have Dodge Acrobatic and a lot of MS node, plus ton of crit. Armour in general is super weak atm, like nothing.

Also melee non crit not in meta - no endgame uniques + no defense + weak dps etc.
Duelist should have higher leech, better leech node and other listed in open post.
More life as a witch than as a templar? care to explain please?
Personal opinion: templar is an extremely good choice to start a caster in a fresh league, because its area makes early-mid leveling much easier than witch. On the long run, I'd say the witch may have more damage, but I wouldn't say more life. I'd like to know how :)
Ranger builds list: /917964
When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch?
If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch.
Watching witches watch watches is not for the faint of heart...

You misread, there clearly written "OR" ES or Life (life was about Scion btw), but i think you can see why Witch have much higher ES and better node, special for Low Life and for DPS.

Same with Ranger vs Duelist/Marauder, Endgame with good gear Ranger win and better in long term.
Also leech request way too long path and way too weak effect for taking them and loosing DPS with defense + loosing life. Id say its not a good choice for anyone.

That's why i think buff list in Open Post make more balance and more meta, If GGG nerf Poison Arrow ofc.
Should add thread about Chaos damage and Poison Arrow balance heavenly needed for long:
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1472354

And let's believe we will see more skill points in 2.1.0 or whatever new 3-4 months league starts. 1 point for act - just bad joke, worst possible scenario.
