New Support Gem Reveal - Blasphemy
" they really should revert AA to mana regen, at least to give mana regen build something nice to gain for |

I admire this idea, this is great life quality improvement.

So I got to thinking: Will Blasphemy support Raise Spectre such that cursing spectres will instead cast an aura?
Would be pretty nice if it worked. My supporter items: Victario's Charity and The Forsaken

" Please no, AA is great now for BM keystone users. At least they can use it. Forum pvp

Yea, I think this is better to solo-players than a group (because I am not sure a group-support will sacrifice aura to curse since they can use curse-on-hit)
Overall , I think this is a great idea and its potentials are remain to be seen. More choices are always good to the game :) |

" That's an insane idea ! Need an answer ! :p |

looks pretty avg tbh, it is only useful on melee range, which tend not to ahve alot of spare mana, since melee classes want atleast 1 50% and and a herald atleast.
IE, i have a crit staff user who uses herald of ashe and thunder+hatred, thunder can double curse, and is fast enoguh to keep up wat i want it to do. my crit dagger aegis is a dual curser using thunder/ice and hatred/grace depending just how much dmg i want to take with me. and honestly if i could i would use discipline, while cool, i dont see this being much use except for as a secondary support class after aurabot. infact a curse on cry gem would be far superior in every way for pretty much everyone if you have high clear speed you would be using herald of ice to curse, if you ahve low u would be using herald of thunder. if you are ranged, the aoe would probably be too small to be useful if you are using range properly. if it was 25% for all linked curses, that would be nice, but it isnt. the problem with making it 25% is people would only use it if they cant go crit and use a herald because heralds give dmg on top of cursing for you, and they give utility too. the investment for a multi curser using this gem is ridiculous too, how is this superior to curse on hit ball lightning? basically this is how i see it non crit mono curse melee: ok crit mono curse melee: herald of ice/thunder non crit ranged: curse on hit split/kinetic crit ranged: curse on hit split/kinetic/ herald of ice spellcaster: curse on hit ball light/arc the problem with self casting curses is they take time while doing no dmg, ranged doesnt have a problem, though admittedly there is a limit on how many curses u can apply for a wander effectively since you need gmp/chain or both if u want really nice coverage, this downside is far too steep to be really useful outside of a very small niche of builds. it necessitates either elreon jewelery even more and cant really be used with blood magic, so forcing a bloodmagic gem on your primary attack. and people are reservation starved as it is outside of like EA and PA |

" +1 That's the only thing i would like to see how the new support change the curse as well. I prefer the new support could make curses bypassing curse immunity and having some effectiveness penalty, rather than just turning curses into "fake" auras which could not be affected by aura notes and still do nothing when facing curse-immuned maps/mob Currently i don't really feel like i will sacrifice my herald, which do great aoe damage for me, or AA, which prevent i got killed from off-screen. This is a really nice gem I was waiting for to be released. Regarding aura passives, I understand that you don't want for them to affect curses because that may be unbalanced, however isn't this inconsistent with the aura keyword? Perhaps you could remove it since this is not exactly an aura, it affects monsters not other players.
Regarding people saying that this will be the end of curse on hit, I don't think so 25% reservation is not to be taken lightly (especially now in awakening) and so you will have to consider if you want to spend 25% of your mana for a curse, or a herald or AA. I am sure thought that for some builds it will be really nice. |
