Since the poison scales off of the initial hit damage, if you're expending damage for attack speed in equal measure, it will kill (on average) at the exact same rate.

The only thing where speed matters is that you will get much more reliable boss-death-times, whereas a slower, heavier hit with viper strike will have higher highs and lower lows.

The poison patch should mostly leave Viper Strike functioning the same as it does now (multiple poison debuffs stacking), but with an optional way to increase VS damage (specifically) via poison% nodes.

Calling it now, next week will be Arc Mines, Burring Arrow(Vaal, stun, or emberwalk), or Vaal Righteous Fire.


I would definitely like to see a botw that uses mines!


These were INCREDIBLE in pvp, but mines are simply too slow for PvE
