One-month Flashback Events: Progress and Feedback

Asking for a feedback, here is one...

I love challenges and I loved the way one can gain set here in this league. It is achievable while still being dangerous (that is if you run into each and every area/map like I do).

However what I mainly aim to write not a compliment.... it's about laggs. GGG servers seems to be severely underperforming for this kind of event. With so much stuff going on around I was constantly lagging although my latency was stable at 30 ms and my FPS was at about 120-200 (50 in the most crowded and boom-like situations). This leads me to a conclusion that such laggs were cause by the server and other people I was plying with had exactly the same issue.

This seems pretty sad to me. I mean you cannot expect the load unless it comes but you should take resolute steps towards solving it as soon as it appears. This makes the joy of playing disappear - it almost feels like good old desync.
This event was/is pretty good and also for me it's a good indicator that if I can finish it in 3/4th of the time, it is most likely good balanced between available time vs. goals. I play a bit more than average but not so much than many others.
Gonna make the last 20% of the lvl85 challenge today, and get my helmet :D Was distracted with Witcher DLC ^^

Combination of Beyond and Onslugfht was ultra annoying. Did'nt play Beyond league before and usually skipping beyond mods on maps. You just spawn bosses that run twice as fast as normal mobs, 2 screens far away, they jump 1 screen wide and 1hit you without chance to do anything against it :-( Maybe wrong build for Beyond, but still, annoying.

Getting up the maps was still a pain in the ass. Now I'm at the tier 6 maps. But it took ways too long to get from t3 to t5. I literally did vendor 27x t2 map to get my first t5, and so on.
Bought a T8 for the challenge, got no return.
My suggestion: For T1-9, Zana prices should just be lower (max 1 Chaos).
My suggestion #2: make some weekly challnges in each league. Each challenge tier you complete (like here: all 5 challenges 1 piece of armor) gets you a map one tier higher, maybe up to 10 (lvl77). That should be fair and one can work towards something.
My suggestion #3: just have all blue/yellow mobs drop maps +1 already. They are dangerous, esp. the Beyond demons with Nemesis ^^, so it's a good incentive to fight them at all. Their loot was just ("$%$§ yawn) facepalm so far!

And just to also say it, the tier system is crap. period.
"
This league is obviously scarier than normal leagues, as the average stay in town or a hideout is 5 minutes longer than normal!

This made me smile. And is also true.
About maps.
For diversity they should make high tear available on every single maps. Tropical Island tier 1 up to tier 15, Gorge tier 1 up to tier 15 and so on. If they implemented tier system at least we should enjoy every single maps. Keep high tier maps drop chance at it is now, but make tier 1-15 available on every single maps, because now after a speciffic level we farm only some maps, high tiers.
In conclusion I want different layouts for high tear maps. Like in the past while Zana could open Arid Lake lvl 68-69-70, Tropical Island 70-71, now i would like to see same thing with tier system.
the helm shall be mine soon!
"Q'ura, Y'ara'az, A'alai and their K'aj siblings "

? What is this, i ddint' even know these names. Does this basically mean SC players zerging to Atziri?
Proud Crusader of Hardcore Leagues.
Level 50.
Cruel act 2.
Didnt played much because I hate Beyond.
And Beyond was 4 times in a row so I totally lost motivation during the first week.
Cant motivate myself further to spend hours just for a free MTX.
And fun ?
No.
I always chisled and alched my highest maps - still I had to buy a Tier 8 map for the challenge, as no high tier maps dropped for me. I got dumped with uniques thou - I fear leagues after this will feel stale when a lot less loot drops.

also the tier system is rubbish. you could give every map a fruit symbol, from banana to cherry and apple and it would have the exact same amount of information on supposed experience gain and difficulty.

why not show map "levels" in relation to the current player level? (next to their normal level/tier wahtever of course, for trade reasons)

EDIT: oh, and it was the least enjoyable event I played so far. the challenges where nice, but revolving sh*tmods are just super annoying.

For me the improvements to map drop rates never happened. It actually got worse!

In 2.0 i was able to sustain t11 maps, while also having a bunch of t9 maps which i was selling to make up for the cost of rerolling maps. Since the drop rates of maps got "improved" i´m unable to sustain a t9 map pool and have to run t7-8 maps all day with a level 97 character with almost no return. Now t9 maps are what t12-15 were in 2.0. This is the result of me and my buddy playing ~120 maps at a total expense of 28ex in mapping currency!

The bad drop rates also show in the map prices in Standard League:
In 2.0 t9 maps were 5-6c a piece. Now they cost around 9-10c a piece.

I never complained about map drops before in my entire play time, but this is just ridiculous. Especially since map drop changes were advertised as being "significantly imprved"...
