Have you considered using a Call of the Brotherhood ring?
All frozen enemies will be shocked giving you a %50 damage boost.

Link it with Increased Duration (lasts around 10 seconds, the gem links I wrote in the guide already take care to this gem being link to Increased Duration so u can see how I suggested to link the gems if you didn't do so yet), if u see u're about to jump into a dangerous and messy area use the Vaal Grace before you warp and own.
If you found yourself in a dangerous siutation by surprise, just activate it and keep spamming Ice Nova & L.Warp to re-curse. It's really situational skill but it prevents deaths if you play with it properly.

Also, I suggest using Jade flask and pop it like everytime you can when you fight (Assuming you're playing with Phase #2 tree which is evasion based. Also, try to craft "x% increased evasion rating during flask effect", very useful for extra safety when using the flask).

Resistences cap are important but not enough to not be squishy. How much life do you have? what your level? are you doing Phase #1 or Phase #2 tree? link me your gear aswell.

Call of the Brotherhood ring has nice effect, but its not really viable for us because we clear packs too fast so the effect won't do much difference for us (same story with Hypothermia).
A diamond ring with high life (and cast speed/high res/mana reg if needed) is more important for us.

Also, cold to fire makes us Ignite instead of freeze for many of our crits, so It also reduces the effectiveness of this ring on us.

Hey, I don't know, but I feel rather weak.

Im lvl 74 right now, using your step#1 tree and got a 32,52% crit chance in-town.
With charges, I nrly reach your crit chance in-town, which is quite high and unreachable for me atm.

Don't know how to improve it, except lvling char/gems and get a amulet with crit chance/multiplier

@Rhareg PoE improvement is one big slow process :)

First of all, Defense:

*Get a Leather belt with 100+ total life OR heavy belt with 80+ life.
*Get Gloves with Dual res + high life (80+). I assume high tri res + life is too expensive so you can try and sort the missing res otherwise (also, from quickly looking at ur gear I think you have a bit too much res or maybe I'm wrong? didn't calculate).
*Get a helmet with 90+ life
*Get rings with 70+ life

As for the Offensve issue you mentioned - your gear is okay (except the amulet you already know about).

Yes, I have a bit too much res (94/114/85 - I just changed my amu, vs a crit chance one, still missing crit multiplier).

I may get more survivability once I get the items you mentioned, I'm stuck at 2,8k life atm (ouch).

Currently LvL 68 and I just have 2,7k life. My gear is mostly just some crappy items to cap resistances my gloves are Maligaro's Virtuosity and I follow #1 Skilltree. I do enough damage but can't survive... what to do?

I think 2.7k hp at level 68 more or less okay. "Crappy gear" is pretty much the answer to your lack of survivability. Can you show me your gear?
