Lagspikes Frankfurt Server

That's how it's been for years. DTAG and Level3 refuse to work together and place the blame on each other. They can't agree on proper peering fees, that is all. And it's not surprising that people from other European countries have the same problem as DE-CIX is the largest IXP in the world and most of Europe's traffic goes through here. Depending on which German provider your home providers peer with, they take the same routes. Again, a PoE gateway in the DTAG network would solve this for most of us. Otherwise this will happen again and again.
Ok so as far is i understand it first hop (rooter?) just doesnt respond to WinMTR but obviously the connection is good besides level3.net which just completely drops the ball.

In game its even way worse than the WinMTR results show, its just completely unplayable atm with ping spikes up to 2.5k and flatlines for up to 20s and/or disconnects. For me this started i think ~7 or max 10 days ago.

I dont even know what happens i live like 40km from Frankfurt and get routed through the level3 network from Frankfurt all the way to Amsterdam and back to Frankfurt? Really?

Unfortunately i dont think we can expect GGG to be able to do anything about this :/ Tho neither can anyone force the ISP to fix the peering issues with level3 (which play the blamegame with eachother). REKT

I got a semi-helpful response via Twitter. Telekom claims to have increased capacity on their side and it's now Level3's job to do the same. Of course that's what anyone expected them to say. It's always Level3's fault. At least they're aware of the situation and things are being done. Meanwhile I was able to play on the London server for a while but now during prime time, latency has gone up so high that I'm desyncing consistently.
Tya, keep us updated corrupt!!!!
Thanks to everyone for all the information. I experience exactly the same problems. I hope they get it fixed soon... :/
This problem is not solved -.-, i can't play since 1 week.

I don't know why i support GGG.

Smoth gameplay in the morning (mittel europe time zone) - laggy gameplay beginning in the afternoon until late in the night MUST be a problem of Telekom - even if other people all around the world are having issues like that.... c´mon... that´s BULLSHIT! Deal with the problem we have!
It is a Telekom problem (at least, maybe also level3), since over a fucking week. I logged in my company (where i work as admin) network via VPN and rerouted all my traffic through my companies ISP (Versatel) and there is no packet loss. Versatel uses a direct peering with networklayer/softlayer, without Telekom and level3.
what ever you are talking about - explain me something else - the traffic is routed as it should in the morning and routed as it should´nt in the evening?! C´mon....
No, routing is mostly the same. In the middle of the routing, between the ISPs Telekom and level3, the routers cant handle traffic anymore and drops packets (packet loss). In the morning theres less traffic, so theres lower or any packet loss. I now checked an other provider (Versatel) and there are no problems with packet loss, because the routing is different.
