More Information About the Upcoming One-Month Event

I would suggest you award different prices for the hardcore league. It doesn't need to be a whole lot different. But the people trying to collect the red seraph set in the previous onemonth league was one of the best things that happened for the HC scene. There where a lot of people playing HC for the first time and realizing that the BS talk (i.e. HC is unplayable in PoE) is just that, BS. I'm sure a lot of players even stayed in HC. Think of all the players that didn't tried HC before because of desinc(gone) and ping(south-america). Awarding the same set just encourages to play the std version because it is easier to acquire.

I found someone with a good reasoning behind my intuitional thought.

I have to say that I am very disappointed by the GGG decision to end tempest league so quickly. I am not a 20-year student anymore, who has a lot of time but does not have money. Situation is actually opposite right now, not so much time and some money. Me and my friends have been actively supporting you GGG, knowing that Tempest will last ~4 month or at least 3 month and a half (actually league is dead not the time it is officially shut down but the time it is announced). So, in a month and a half we were able to achieve only lvl 95 on Tempest and had goal to go to lvl 100, but then you decided to shut down tempest.
Decision is made, and there is nothing I can do about it. What I can do though, is stop playing, because 1-month league is too short for people with full time job to achieve everything they want. So, thank you GGG and goodbye.

Just a little input,

I started this game at the beginning of Tempest / Warband, and wow, what a blast. Literally got me in!
A really great game. Although, i've noticed there's alot of different kind of players playing this game. People that likes achivements and rewards / people playi2ng Hardcore and people like me that enjoy the trading/grinding gear part of the game, leveling the char and trying new builds etc (there probably alot more 'kind' of players, actually), anyways. I feel like at the point where I really get into the game, the season ends for a new 1month... season.. Well it seems great for some but a whole lot of player doesnt enjoy standard cause it's been up for far too long(not a whole lot of enjoyment dropping Ex's and stuff) and the 1month league is... Well, i'd say for player that enjoy the 'achievement' part of the game. But honnestly, after talking to a bunch of friends (30+), a minority's going to play to play the 1month, due to small amount of time they have to grind and due to the economy part of the game that'll be kind of too short to make an actual one (if that makes sense). Anyways, I'm posting this cause' i'm really disapointed to have to get my head out of the game because I don't enjoy standard / 1month league. It's really hard since the game is so awesome.

My suggestion (to not make this just a complain post) would be to:

-Make 2x (xx and HC xx) leagues during 4-6months (ATLEAST 4)
While having
-Short leagues like 1month or 2months at the same time.

It would really make every players play what they want to play. and wouldn't get a WHOLE lot of players out of the game because the don't enjoy short stuff.

Cheers
and Good job again with the game.

So basically each week is either warbands/tempest + flashback. Seems fine to me, but wouldn't complain if warbands+tempest were both permanently on. Prizes seem fine too, although a different skin seraph set that were unique to the league would be ideal (could even become kind of a tradition if this kind of league were run say twice a year)

(As for those going a bit offtopic we all have our differing opinions on league length - I also find 3 months a bit too short tbh - but at the end of the day GGG has decided to stick to the 3 months like previous leagues, and we should respect this decision.
I do, however, think they should announce league duration dates earlier though, I personally think that if people know the duration they will plan around it rather than feeling 'tricked' when they are told only two weeks to go to the end. I don't want to be negative but I think leagues die down near the end no matter the duration, so they may as well announce a date earlier allowing people to organise themselves).

They didn't stick to 3 months like the two previous leagues (all other leagues before the last two were 4 months). The current leagues are not 3 months. They are 2 months and 3 weeks.

Described my situation perfectly. One month leagues don't interest me. Way too short for anyone who has a life outside of POE. I haven't played POE in over a year before Warbands/Tempest. I came back to the game expecting the current leagues to be a bare minimum of 4 months, based on the words of a GGG employee. Then I find out the leagues will end after 2.75 months? Sorry, but I'm just going to move on. Fallout 4 is coming out soon and I still haven't played Witcher 3. My gaming time can be spent better elsewhere. Temp leagues can't be less than 3 months in length... That is simply ridiculous. People who have jobs obviously can't play all day long. And for those of us who fall into this category, it takes about 2 months for us to finally get our builds and gear put together. That leaves us with 3 weeks to actually play the characters we spent 2 months putting together.

I was expecting these leagues to be longer than 3 months, not shorter. Hell, I was halfway expecting they may even last longer than 4 months. I'm just going to move on. Thanks for the great game GGG. You guys are still the best game developers out there for sure. It's just too bad you don't care about your semi-casual players.

Final thought: I think 6 months is the right length of time for a temp league. At least 5 months. 4 is bordering on okay. 2.75 is unacceptable. What's even more unacceptable is giving us a 2 week notice before shutting it down. This is what drove a well paying customer from the game. Good luck in the future! Hope you guys can stay in business with your 1% super hardcore no-life play 24/7 players.

This. Misinformation - intentional or not. It just doesn't fly with me. Had I known the Awakening leagues would be this short, my wallet probably would not have supported the game as heavy-handed as I did - heck, I probably won't even have a chance to find my own divination card in the Awakening leagues. How silly is that? I'm not going to support the next expansion/thingy unless we know the end date from the start, and it isn't something randomly pulled out of a hat to cater the elite players.

I also think 6 months is much, much better. Have 1 months/races and all that elite stuff we "normal" guys with a life outside being chained to a chair can't participate in alongside to cater the "pros". Make an effort to make both the elite and the not-so-elite happy. It's very possible, and quite simple.

I think that is the perfect solution, Lantador. Have 6-month leagues for those of us who don't hit lvl 100 within the first month, and have between 4 and 6 one-month leagues for the people who are already doing lvl 82 maps on the second day of a new league. If this happens, I may give the game another shot, depending on where I am in life. But for now? I'm done. I don't feel valued as a customer. I'm sure someone will call me entitled. I'm not that - but it's becoming clear that GGG caters to players who literally live in Wraeclast. I live on planet earth and take a vacation to Wraeclast a few hours a day. Those players in the former category and those of us in the latter category simply require two different things. I think Lantador's proposition would fulfill the desires of both types of players. But since I can't make GGG listen, adios!

I'm still hoping they make a change to there annoucement soon before lossing a big part of their player base for good. By that, I mean almost everybody that started during the expansion...

Complaints gets u nowhere, but what would make this game awesome would be:

STANDARD LEAGUES

TEMPORARY LEAGUES
5-6 Months or atleast 4

CHALLENGE LEAGUES
Short league with rewards

5-6 Month Leagues make more sense than 3 as people enjoy a long but meaningful battle with the economy and putting together a roster of unique characters and builds that seasons/leagues makes available every year. Fresh eye openers every new load of content.

A seraph set? Really?
Golden?

Really?

Not only is it uggly and something you can buy in the shop...

IT´S UGLY AND YOU CAN BUY IT IN THE SHOP!
zzZzzzZzzZz
Set is ok but the color;D At shop we got silver/golden one? Before league was blue/red
Time for black seraph set;D?
In order to get rid of clearspeed meta cap global movement speed at 100% but make all skills instant so everything feels great.
Not quite sure about people complaining they can't get 100 or that the leagues end early.

You can still get 100 in regular hardcore / softcore I don't really see what the problem is.
