More Information About the Upcoming One-Month Event

I'm really, really hyped about these upcoming leagues and also the stash tab bundle rewards. That's awesome.

But I really think considering the difficulty of the mods, HC should at least be able to get different colored challenge reward sets & potentially more rewards in general. Yes I understand that may hurt some feelings of some people playing SC but you have to realize your progress in the game is usually hampered in HC by dying.

Examples:
--Dying and having to re-roll and get to the proper levels to complete said challenges, while keeping in mind that each time that might happen, the mods will be harder or easier than the first or other times
--Gearing up more than people in SC
--Spend more time farming for currency for said scarce gear that also disappears when you die
****and now on top of all of this, and having to consider all of the above when/if you die****
--Insane mods that will set you back to square ONE if your attention span happens to be shorter than usual that day.

Obviously dying in a hardcore league contributes to gold and gear sinks, that just vanish from the economy each and every rip. In less than a month the economy can't really be stable enough to make it nearly as far challenge-wise compared to SC. Ramping up the difficulty and making it far less attainable for those that also happen to work for a living. In turn, much less people would be getting the rewards than in SC. So why can't the smaller proportion of people that do attain those awards in HC get BETTER REWARDS?

I guess I propose that you make an attempt to give HC players a little prestige so they can have a reason to still play HC over SC by way of being rewarded more handsomely. I'm not saying those of us that play HC do it for the rewards necessarily -- we like the challenge -- but it'd be nice to have some bragging rights that do distinguish us from SC players.

And if HC did get better rewards, it'd be a great way to at least introduce more people in SC to give HC a shot. It may renew their interest in the game. In fact, if there was more incentive it *will* renew the interest of a huge chunk of SC players.

Noob question here - and sorry if it was answered earlier.

I'm reading Warbands and Tempest leagues will end on October 2, and characters from those leagues will be moved to their parent leagues. But I assume there won't be a way to move those characters who were on Warbands/Tempest, From Standard/Hardcore to the next challenge league, correct?

If so, is it still "worth" keeping the first characters I made on Path of Exile (who are currently on Warbands) and play as them on Standard, or should I just make completely new ones for the next challenge league? They're only level 30-55 but I didn't exactly plan on abandoning them.

Thanks.

There is no way to migrate your Current Characters into a new challenge league. One of the main features of a new challenge league is that everyone starts from scratch
Awesome. Love the fact that the challenges are harder but we don't have to do them twice!
Really really don't like this, first one month I'll simply spend in Standard. Sad.
Wow so not even 3 month for the first league with act4 and so Many new stuff weird.

And plz start the one month friday some ppl cant play all day in the week.... If its start friday more ppl can start Map after 2 day plz
Sounds really amazing.

Please no challenges to identify a list of tier 1 uniques or some other insane currency challenge. This challenge league we got 2 huge currency challenges (knowledge and power + divination cards).

The div card challenge was just stupid after a month.

I also agree with other posters that it would be nice for hardcore players to earn seperate rewards. It is after all a much different playstyle and almost no players who played hardcore got 8/8 this league.

Character deaths set you back so much that you're starting a league completely over from scratch. It is therefore much harder to complete the challenges because if you go 2 weeks with no deaths and not all challenges completed, if you die you need to level up a character to complete the challenge again.

I do agree that the challenges can be slightly harder (raise level from previous league obviously, maybe make us kill 82 bosses, but 82 maps are very rare).

As a lot of ppl here, I'd like that the leagues last a bit longer, 3 months is really short. I just had my 1st master lvl 8 and the end is already announced.

For the 1 month league, special prize for HC would be nice and encourage ppl to play HC. With desync gone, HC is really cool now.

And if golden seraph set seems nice, it's the same kind of reward than the previous 1 month league, some change would be nice. Maybe weapons MTX instead?

To finish, something not related with the league: when will we see a windripper 3D skin? The bow looks so beautifull but still has this annoying imperial bow skin...
yes... YES

I was considering if it's worth my time to take part, but it looks like you've made the decision for me. Have fun with the league.

You'll be missing out the most fun experience, who the hell cares that much about pixel-rewards when you have a flash-back event.

Couldn't care less about MTX, if I like one I buy one.

What I care for is to make progress into the end game with my characters. For that I need to fight the boss of all bosses, the immortal monstrosity called "the economy". No currency means no progress for my current non-cookie cutter builds and means no chance to even attempt new builds that don't happen to stack up life and use cyclone, poison arrow or flame totem.

If I play temporary leagues I just come back with more poorly equipped characters and a bunch of crap rares, so no, at the end of the day I'm not progressing further into the game, I'm still poor and I consider that month wasted, not fun.

Warbands was the last temp league I will ever get involved. I'm not sure what it was all about to be honest, I was hunting them down, identified shittonne of their magic intems but never got any of their signature mods. New economy means you again start with nothing but this time there's less items going around so a crap rares have ridiculous prices. By the time you get to maps nobody wants your crap rares and no-lifers already control the trade and expect you to shower them with tens of exalts per build-enabling items. No thanks, although boring I think I'll stick to standard or move on, PoE already eats too much of my time and money for what it offers.

Great news :)
Schedule and overall is good for me
Oh and prizes, there will be seraph set AND tiers for random draws to win for example stash bundles AND demi gods for best?
If all 3 rewards combined - id love it and will play for sure
