I was too curious to resist, I just tried it from Europe :)
Was able to log in to a standard character, ping just above 300ms. But that's not what matter. I did two attempts to select a warband character, received the "Failed to connect to instance" error and left with the menu-less screen (without the charecter selection pane etc.). Even Esc didn't bring me back to the login screen, I had to Alt+F4. Just wanted to let you know, not a big deal for me personally. There is no dark, it's just absence of light.

Hi, my internet is via radio and my place is Brazil - Paraná.
I'm still very happy for the new gateway, because my ping in Texas is 170-300 ms and the Brazil gateway improves me a ms for 20-30ms. Congratz for this great work. I hope this problem will be solved as soon as possible. Ty GGG. ------------------

Thanks for the changes. This means a lot for us. But I'm having some troubles. I cannot leave the place where my character is. Whenever i try to change location, i go back to the login screen. BUG!
Logged into the new gateway and created a new character to try Merveil's race. I hit enter and got disconnected. Was sent back to the character selection screen. Couldn't do anything, got stuck in a screen without options, just the background with the chars. Only function that works here is Alt+f4. Happens every time. Edit: I'm from Brazil.
