Event:

+1 for Flashback

Someone suggested earlier about having the previous mods appear in each instance including Warbands/Tempest in any random combination on a periodic basis. I like this idea a lot as it will give new players to experience the old league mods they didn't play before mixed with the more recent ones.

On top of that, I was thinking that a number of random mods each instance will have in a certain difficulty:

E.g.
Normal: 2 mods
Cruel: 3 mods
Merciless: 4 mods

I love the hybrid events more than the throwback events. The mishmash that results from having to look up what I'm dealing with is frustrating for me.

I love item skins as a reward more than hardware or other abstract items.
I want play flashback and any seraph set a challenge reward
My opinion is that it would be better to go to an older league type for pacing reasons. I feel it's best not to run the newer league into the ground. On the other hand, I enjoyed it when you did this for the invasion and "strongbox" leagues (partly because I saw the potential for insane levels of loot.)

Note on my feedback: I skipped out on the current set of leagues to focus my attention on leveling up my standard characters to get a feel for my characters' new passive builds (and the new areas) after the somewhat recent skill reset at the start of awakening. This may be the reason why I chose in favor of a combination of old leagues that I am more familiar with.

goals: As a casual player, I write off prizes in general unless it's apparent that they're reasonably attainable. That said, I'm rather low-maintenance and would probably not base my game-play around a prize so much as around the interesting interactions of the map-mods and opportunities for large in-game loot drops anyway.

Thus, despite my personal preference for attainable rewards (rather than top-end) You might do better catering to the top-end more if only because those who are competitive and work hard to get prizes will tend to appreciate them more. Only effort creates value, even in games.

I'm torn between RNG and challenge. I would say that if the prize is "for everyone" then RNG is better (weighting it towards the top) but if if's something situational (for example, a unique item that's only good for a specific build) it's better to let players set goals for the items they like so that they feel invested.
We are never so offensive as when we are being defensive. (-me?)
I like that you guys are rewarding all skill sets of players in this hybrid league concept. I want to see more rewards, maybe not game changing alterations, but quality of life, and maybe cosmetic effects coming into play for more casual players. Believe me, I would love to grind POE all day everyday, but unfortunately I have bills to pay. but it feels like the bulk of the incentives go to the professional gamers and streamers. I wish that was my life, but unfortunately, it isn't, and probably will never be. Can we see more incentive tiered towards not necessarily the casual players among us, but those who will never get into the top 100 on a ladder. Maybe some uniques that aren't build defining, but something to bridge the gap from entering merciless to farming maps. Most days, I feel as if GGG neglects the "Average Joe" in not only the rewards and incentives, but in the grand scheme of the POE experience. I would love to see some quality of life changes, in terms of grinding not only levels, but gear. I feel as if I speak on the part of every average player, lets not create the welfare gear concept of other large games, but give me an incentive as your everyday player to get the next level, to find the next unique, and to finally clear out that map that had me pulling my hair out. Cheers GGG, hopefully this message makes it to you.
Threshold, please.

As for play type, I would love to see an Uber-drop league (with none of the items making it to the standard or hardcore league). Let everyone play with some amazing uniques that most will never see in a real league.

It won't affect the economy because none of the items will be around after the 1 month league.

As part of that, make crafting much easier in this league too (6 linking, ect.).

You are showing these amazing builds that some players created. Now allow everyone to play some of them, even the casual players.

I'd like to see cosmetic rewards in terms of armour / weapon / character effects
My favorite would be a tempest/warband hybrid league with MTX rewards like the golden seraph set for challenges.
If I had to choose between Warbands/Tempest or the Flashback for the 1 month, I'd pick Warbands/Tempest. Though, I think it'd be kool to have both. Perhaps something like ~75% of the days are both Warbands/Tempest, with a mix of the other leagues thrown in. I really like the Tempest league (from the limited time I played it), and it would be great to experience it from the soft-core perspective.

For one month bonus' what encouraged me to play most, and got me most interested, was the challenges with the micro-transactions. I really liked getting the sets, and it was nice to have a reason to play hardcore for a bit. I feel like the top player rewards are kool, but don't give the general population much incentive to push, or a goal. The level thresholds are nice, and seem to work well for the giveaways, but could perhaps work with the micro-transactions.
I really enjoyed the 1 month race that had the armor sets as rewards. It would be nice if we could get a recolor of an armor set OTHER than the seraph set though.

As for flashback or tempest/warbands, why not both? Cheers!
