Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you amplifying the damage you are taking with lightning coil considering how much armor you have? I thought LC is for builds that can't stack a ton of armor and need phys reduction, not for builds that have a lot of armor. When you have 85+ phys reduction and you are converting some of the damage you take to lightning, aren't you then converting the damage to a higher hit (assuming 75% lightning resistance).

You dont need that armor if you are using immortal call with 7 EC

What you are saying is true only for small hits, like below 1k (25k armor reduces 1k damage by about 75%, as Lightning Coil does for its share with 75% resist).

But with such a build, you don't even notice hits with average physical damage.
It just doesn't matter, since you have high life regen and Aegis Aurora blocks.
Most mob hits don't even get through the ES layer to touch the life pool.

I'm wearing a LC for the serious hits, like 4k+.
That's when armor stops doing its job.
