Is Lightning Coil viable for this build?

" Yep crit/multi is a big source of my damage. For any crit build you will want to stack a lot of both crit chance and multi, if you have a small amount of either it's really not much better than just going for a non-crit build. My 20% gems really don't add much the damage difference is small without 20%. From what you said about your passive tree's int it looks like that is the main cause of your lack of int. ~300 int is pretty standard for any caster build, Whispering Ice needs a lot more :p " I haven't tried it but it might be difficult since Intelligence is a suffix meaning you'll generally have less resistances on any rare gear. Lightning coil also reduces lightning resistance and you don't have as much int or ES as with a rare chest either. Did u consider Doedre's Scorn? Couldnt find an answer in ur FAQs and im just curious, wasnt able to test it myself, i guess the cons are that we cant rly compensate the maassive resistance loss and no life boost? Thx for ur efforts so far :) |

" I don't see any reason to use Doedre's Scorn at all, it's just flat out worse than a rare helm. Also the socketed curse gems +1 is wasted since I socket my curses on my body armour curse on hit setup anyway, "so you can see who has more PvPenis" - Chris Wilson

Yesterday I just got Whispering Ice on drop, then I came across to this. I think this is the most cheap build with Whispering Ice. Just create the character, doing well so far.
For vaal skill, I'm planning to use Vaal Cold Snap. Its primary role is as self defense mechanic when surrounded and having extra chilled grounds it's not that bad I think. I'm planning to link it with Increase AOE, Faster Casting, and Life Leech. Sure leech maybe not as worthy as you said but having a emergency leech isn't that bad. Thanks for the build. I may give my setups later. IGN
