Like to farm? Then dont level your char.

what if i'm 10 levels below the zone, like farming 60zone with 50character do i receive penalty?
Find from wiki:

Drop Penalty

There is a penalty to the chance of currency items and Divination cards dropping in areas with a monster level more than two levels lower than your character level. For each additional level that you have compared to the area's monster level+2, the chance of a currency and Divination card item drop is reduced by 2.5%.

So if you are level 30 in a level 20 area, you will see 20% less currency and Divination card item drops on average:

2.5*(30-(20+2))=20

A level 30 character in a level 28 area will see no penalty.

Currency and Divination card drops are not increased or decreased in this way when fighting in areas above your level.

For the purposes of this penalty, your level is never considered to be higher than 68[3][4]. Therefore a level 75 character receives no penalty in a level 66 area.

To conclude, drop rate penalty occurs below level 65 area.
I did some extensive testing yesterday and there is indeed no currency penalty after level 68 maps/area's.

In the past there was a small webpage somewhere where you could calculate your penalty and it seems to do so. So you get a penalty.

Also there was once a lvl 1 character doing Vaal in normal. The person described that upto lvl 10(?) zones he was trying to avoid XP, but after that he was not getting XP anymore.

So in my memory you get a penalty yes.
I am level 80.

I've found one level 74 map. About three or four level 73 maps, and a handful of 70-72. About 30 or so 68-69.

I've been running maps since mid 60's.

I Chisel maps when I can. I alch them, and vaal them when I can. I have spent more currency on crafting maps in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last year combined.

I have no more maps higher than level 72.

This isn't fun. I'm broke, and have nothing to show for it.

I can't give you an exact quote but I do recall reading from an official source sometime in the past that there is an exp penalty for under leveled characters. Right or wrong, knowing the answer to this question doesn't change the fundamental gameplay all that much, unless artificial difficulty is your thing... but that's already catered for with map mods, so:/

I am lvl 84, I never alch/chisel maps, ever.
I get decent drops and I get map drops.

Oh, I'm gonna cry :(

Rarely I chisel Maps and when I do it's mostly with low-level maps (-74)... And I'm not crying for lack of maps. I always have what I need and if I do not, I do low-level maps to strengthen my base... Your problem is not knowing how to play. In this type of games you do not always have everything easier. There are times for leveling and there are times to farm...
Bethesda is known for having good ideas and terrible realization of them. GGG is a Bethesda subsidiary or what?
If you're farming specific divination cards from areas within the storyline, you absolutely want to suicide your character to stay within the goldilocks zone.
