What? Lockstep stutter has literally 0% relevance to FPS stutter. If you are using Lockstep and do not have a consistent latency the game will visually stutter but your frame rate will remain high during the stutter because the game is actually intermittently "pausing" and waiting on the server for a response, not because your hardware is struggling to render graphics.

If you do not have a consistent internet connection, you should use Predictive mode. I don't remember if I previously mentioned this but GGG has repeatedly said they have improved predictive mode with I think the v2.0 release of the game and they surely did improve it. It is crap loads better than what it was (It used to suffer massive desyncs at the drop of a hat).

By the way, being a dick isn't nice. I may have failed to explain things well, basically the problems I see in the GIF's are caused by internet connectivity problems coupled with Lockstep mode, not performance/frame rate issues. Switching to predictive mode would resolve the stuttering but instead of stutter you would get some form of desync (You are basically in a "choose your poison" situation, I prefer no stutter so I don't use Lockstep). GGG has made huge improvements lately in regards to desync recovery making desyncs largely a non-issue (unless you have abysmal internet reliability). I'm up to Act 3 Merciless and I think I've used /oos command maybe 3 times? Before v2.00 you'd use /oos every 10 seconds and/or use a macro to bind the command to a single key for quick access.

My observations and posts are derived from the various visual examples provided in this topic. All of them show what appears to be an internet issue and not computer hardware struggling to run the game. I'm not saying there aren't performance issues when playing with 3+ players depending on their character builds, just that the examples in this topic do not portray that being the cause of the stutter in the examples.

Edit: Do I care if my posts bump the topic? No. They are more relevant to the topic than 98% of the Op's posts in this topic.

How much exp runs on rainy docks with 5 people ? Taking your own experience as a global statement makes it already ridiculous, but how u can ensure and crusade about this when on your side you just leveled until A3M and besides being already unhonnest when you tell us you read the threads/links/points and just purposally ignoring them to only list the bumps xD ?
