GG - What does it mean in Path of Exile?

I always started every match on the WC3 ladder with

GGL & HF sir. As a sign of sportsman's ship among the top ladder players. This was common practice for a lot of players.

GG will forever be Good Game to me.

In the context of PoE i suppose one could consider it more or less like

Good Instance(instance meaning the area you are in and have just created) Assuming you drop a good item in there it is a favorable instance and as such it's GG. Where all other instances by comparison are worse.

I interpret GG as Good Game but implying the event in time/instance.

You frequently read people stating "*item* GG" implying there having a good time simply by finding that item in comparison to hours spend farming which are not as favorable? ;D

Correct. I am aware UD is not the most reliable source for information, yet sometimes even the most unreliable sources for information yield accurate, and sometimes, very interesting answers.

I always consult 3 sources with similar answers, to which I then cherrypick the source I like most that sounds best. UD nailed it.

Anyway, I am glad you guys learned something new. I was a Warcraft player way back in the day (that is, until WoW came out), so this is no new knowledge for me.
