My phys damage reduction is a 66% without flasks, only Grace lvl 20 up. It's a huge difference for just some different points. BTW I like your idea of using EB. I'll try it as I've just set up all and with only one jewel with +2 to mana on hit I simply run out out of mana too often. With 55 mana free.
Managed to kill Uber in 3rd Abyss run. Died 2 times (silly mistake in trio room and got clipped by double flameblast in atziri room), each run goes much smoother as i learn from my mistakes and approach situations carefully. Turning off both Purities and turning on Determination puts me at around 90k armour with flasks up and trash mobs cease to be a nuissance.

I reach the 90% cap only with grace, fortify and flask. You should too, so no need for determination.

By the way, in a 3R3G chest, did anyone try Culling Strike instead of LMP? Also Faster Projectiles when using Molten Strike might be an interesting idea.

One last question, does Spell Totem + Arc + Curse on Hit + Curse work?

The thing is, i get 90% phys reduction with 60k-ish armour, but it's not capped, game doesn't show past 90%. And i could tank uber trash hits much more with 30k more armour, phys reduction was at 90% just as with less armour and no determination, but they hit harder too then.


As far as I know there's no further phys reduction past 90%, so the game doesn't show it because there's no more. Trash mobs also do a lot of cold damage, it might be a good idea to use a purity of cold.

Maybe someone else could help clarify this.

Btw it could be fun to deal with these mobs swapping the iron will for a Knockback gem. :-P
I REALLY like the idea of culling strike. At 20% quality you don't lose the ias from losing LMP. It could honestly prove extremely useful during uber to cut down the fights a little bit. I really don't think LMP is particularly amazing unless it's benefits to me are unseen. The 2 extra proj seems kinda meh at face value. Anyone else feel like this may be a sick idea?

I've been trying this last day and I can tell you I kill mobs quite fast. But I don't know if it's faster than with lmp. I guess you should try on a harder scenario like Uber Atziri to see if you notice some difference. I also don't know if the %increased damage of the gem only applies to the MS or LS or if it's global. I suppose it's only local, to the MS or LS.
On a single target with lmp, I guess it might depend on how big is the mob, if it gets all the fire balls or not.

I twist the OP build for +energy on hit, and the play style is very good. Also I went for the 3 Auras + Herald, using Herald of Thunder as a boost for the dps and as a vehicle to deliver Elemental Weakness. BTW you only need 1 jewel with +2 or +3 energy on hit.


Do you run all three auras and herald at the same time? Or do you Switch out one of the auras for herald for dps?

It´s true, more AR more phy reduction even 90% capped!
