So is the problem that discharge consumes the endurance charges that are converted (from devotion) during that single casting of discharge, or that in a single target scenario, you don't have enough endurance charges generated from 1 use of discharge to reliably keep IC up? The EE problem isn't much of a problem for coc cyclone dishcarge builds when they use a cold spell as the second spell along with discharge. Not trying to be argumentative, just understand the interaction of gear/setup. No, EE is not an issue if you are using a cold spell, for some reason I had in mind flame surge as a secondary spell, already edited the post. Thing is with discharge and IM is that is to risky. If discharge eats your endurance and for some reason you don't have enough endurance to cast IM with the needed duration to have it up 100%. I am gonna test it a bit more and see if you can keep 100% uptime. If is 100% reliable then yes, discharge is a DPS boost. EDIT Just tested it, its just as I though, its not reliable one bit. Many times discharge will cast with few power charges, which means you won't have 5 endurance charges up to cast IM for its full duration. Also it sucks using it vs trash since you are attacking from such distance that it doesn't hit monsters. Loosing power charges means you are loosing crit chance from your barrage, so your COC procs are way less. I wouldn't recommend it for either trash or bosses. Thanks for reminding me, been wanting to test it since last night and but I keep forgetting, just loaded a malformation map to test it on Piety. Edit Just test it (just one test), worked like a charm. You get to keep up 5 power charges also which greatly improves DPS. Gonna do a test run on Malachai now see how that works. Thanks. How to itemize Spoiler " I like to start by saying that Accuracy is extremely important. Your chance to hit something affects your critical strikes directly. You need to be as close to 90% chance to hit as possible. It should be the main focus on your rings. " Stats are listed in order of priority. Wand " There is a lot of debate going on how much attack speed you need to get the most of COC. All I can say is this, do not worry about optimizing your AOE setup, trash die so fast you won't even be able to tell the difference. What you should care about is your single damage setup, for example you want to push Atziri though phases as fast as possible to minimum incoming damage. From the information I gathered it seems you need be as close to 3.0 APS as possible with out GMP/LMP. Critical strike chance. The higher the better. Attack Speed Spell damage Critical strike multiplier Critical strike chance for spells Accuracy Rings " Diamond rings are the best Life Accuracy, at least 200 resists to cover your needs critical chance from Elreon if you can add it Amulet " Elreon -8 to mana is the best choice Life Critical strike chance Critical strike multiplier Accuracy If you can corrupt it and get +1 additional curse, 0.2% cold leech or +1 max resistance then you have struck gold. You should do this on a daily basis. Lets assume Elreon sells a -8 amulet. Use orb of augmentation, if you get something good like critical multiplier, accuracy, critical strike chance etc then regal it. If you again get something good then add the best option from master and then corrupt it. Keep in mind that Elreon only sells up to ilvl 59 except for his white item. You could end up with an amulet like +1 additional curse -8 to mana cost of skills life critical multiplier critical strike chance This will cost you 1 orb of chance, 1 regal, 1 vaal orb and what ever you payed for the master enchant. You can do the same with rings. You should look for Armor/Evasion boots so you have an easier time with socket colors. I recommend a strength belt but life or stun recovery will do just fine. Life Triple res is possible Flask effect duration Don't bother to corrupt it Life Triple res is possible Movement speed Stun recovery Corruption can give +1 power charge or +1 level of gems How to leech life with out life leech gem Spoiler There are a few things you can do though to combat this. Keep in mind that nothing is as effect as a life leech gem. Fix your flasks. " Get eternal flasks, they heal life over 4 seconds were a divines heals over 7 seconds. Don't worry about the amount. With Alchemist and Profane Chemistry nodes 1 usage of the flask will heal you for more than 4000 life. Sanctified flask can also work, they heal over 3 seconds but they only have 30 charges, they also heal for a bit less. 20% Eternal flask 2496 life over 4 seconds, 45 charges 20% Sanctified flask 1752 life over 3 seconds , 30 charges You can also use a Seething Divine Life Flask for instant recovery but it will not recharge with your crits. Atziri's Promise Amethyst flask " DPS and life leech on demand. Unfortunately it doesn't recharge with crits so you can't rely on it 100%. Use wisely. Cast on damage taken " CWDT + Warlord's Mark Keep in mind that map bosses have 60% reduced effect of curses on them, and Act Bosses 70%. CWDT + Discharge + Life Leech Decent way to leech back some life, especially when using Voll's armor. You need to find the sweet spot of CWDT gem level. About 25%-30% damage taken of your life. It really depends on you on how much to level it. Leech from Doryani's belt, wand and corrupted amulet. " The best way to get direct life leech on your barrage attack with 100% up time when not using life leech gem. Cold Damage Leeched as Life is the best option. With all 3 items you will have 0.6% leech. Remember that you are only leeching from your cold damage. Vaal molten shell + life leech + increase duration " Very situational. First it needs to be charged. Best use in anticipation of incoming damage. Herald of Ice + Life leech " For some increased cost on your herald of ice you can link it with a life leech gem.
