Low fps or fps drops.

32GB Fury X Samsung 950 Pro Runs 200-300fps @ 4K but spikes to 0fps. |

AMD phenom II x6 3,2ghz
Gforce GTX 770 Kingston 120gb SSD 8gb memory Win8 64bit getting initial 200-350fps, however drops to 30 and below in combat, been going on for a long time now, pretty much to the point where im only leveling chars really. Tried every possible fix out there, been researching forums on the problem for a long time. Lockstep makes it worse, however even on predictive mode its still utterly unplayable. Vsync makes no difference eighter, it'll just stay at 63fps until combat, then its below 30 in an instant. burning/frozen/shocking makes it a stutter hell. (changing from lockstep > predictive mode did fix my latency issue tho.) Last edited by gogofrisko#0271 on Mar 26, 2016, 3:04:56 PM

R9 390 8GB @ 1040 MHz, up to date drivers etc etc
All setting high and low doesn't matter, spiking like crazy 0-190fps. Unplayable atm. My old HD4860 and 5750 both performed in POE more consistently. Seriously WTH? |

MSI 970A-G43 Plus
Phenom II 1100BE 8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM Asus Radeon R9 280 PoE on a Crucial SSD Windows 10 and 7 I have the same issue and made a thread to document my tries (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1632764) For me it got MUCH worse when switching to Windows 10 a few days ago. On Win7 its still somehow playable because I dont get these several seconds freezes that normally follow the FPS drops on Win10. Hopefully there will be a solution soon. |

I have the same issues. Game starts out at 250 fps and quickly finds its way to 20 or less. Very annoying, cant play like this.
Edit: I have an Nvidia GTX 670 and have been playing this game for awhile with no problem until recently. I just remembered that Nvidia had some troubles with their latest driver release (364.51), so I just deleted the current driver and reverted back to a previously known to work driver (361.91). Bam! I'm up and running with consistent performance again. Last edited by rxnman#1941 on Mar 28, 2016, 2:37:56 AM

Don't know if anyone else has noticed but if you alt+tab in and out of POE when you are getting bad frame drops or just generally worse fps, eventually it will be as it should. I've found sometimes 1 alt+tab will do it other times it is a half a dozen.
I have no idea why this works, but it does, another way is to go in and out of the instance. I've really only noticed this happening since I upgraded to Windows 10 a a couple of days ago. I thought lag was the worst thing out there but this issue has just topped that lol. |

seems like GGG doesnt wanna waste time on this subject. Guess one is gonna have to go find another game to play. Sad times..
