[2.0]♦Crit µ-lner♦: Mjölner revamped! - Lifebased, Insane DPS! RIP Dual-Wield.

Why using Acuity when you don't have a life leech gem in Mjolner? I know the int on gloves is very nice, and the crit chance helps too, but is it the only reason why you use Acuity?

From the newest patch:
"Fixed a bug where projectiles from Lightning Strike (when supported by Multistrike or similar) could trigger melee things like Fortify."

"Fixed a bug where Molten Strike wouldn't deal off-hand damage."

Rip?? Does this mean dual wield mjolners? or just go back to maining saffels/rathpith/etc.

Update here if any of you guys are able to do some testing with this stuff and see what exactly they changed...

I'm still a bit sleepy, but I'm testing right now.
Its fun how GGG can't fix their shit BEFORE it goes live and people start using it.
This interaction was known in beta, but nothing was done to fix it.
Lets see.

Edit: Well RIP dualwield. the procs are halfed now. Great job on GGGs side really.

I still think that it should proc from all projectiles, since the Mod on Mjölner says "x% chance to proc on hit" and not "on hit with this weapon.", but whatever, we know GGG is poor with wording.

I guess we should have expected it at some point really, but I guess that just means using rathpith makes us gain charges back a bit slower.

Back to rathtpith/saffels I suppose?

I'm using the rare shield for more spellcrit and more damage.
All the other shields I listed are a good choice.
Still shit compared to dual-wield boni, but well fun things get nerfed in this game all the time.
Dual-wield is shit compared to the shield-meta, but as soon as someone uses it for a positive purpose it gets removed.

I just asked havoc about the dual wielding stuff and he said that now they fixed that bug, Mjolner in each hand should give all the proc now. But its still a good nerf lol

He does spec into Vaal Pact and dont even use acuity,

Who said that L-Coil is bad?
L-Coil is old news as saiyan said.
Havoc did Uber with it on HC.
THe point with L-Coil is that you absolutly need LL gem in your Mjölner, which gimps our DPS.
I said a fe wtimes that you can take L-Coil and be super tanky, even more than I am atm. but I want more deeps and Kingsguard enables that.


Edit: I've read the thread of the guy you linked...and all he does can I do but better tbh.
If I'd use L-Coil with my gearsetup and switch in LL-Gem I'd still have over 20k more Armour then him; with legacy saffels I'd be at 100%Fire; 99% Light and 93%Coldres with flasks; instantleech on crit and Taste of Hate.
I don't lose my liferegen and can use Bloodrage for more DPS and APS; and I'd have more DPS than him while being way tankier.
He just made a buildpost that just shows what I said before: L-Coil is the absolute tank harcode-modus approach on mjölner.
I just opted for more DPS, while maintaining really good tankyness.

This was very close to the build I did in the beginning of 2.0, and it got obliterated in uber. I don't want to offend the author of the guide or anyone using a coil, but have you tried uber with a coil based build yet? Assuming that's the goal for the majority of mjolner users here.

Coil is good for Uber, but Coil alone isn't enough.
In the end Coil makes Trio and her Spears easier, on the downside you lose DPS because you use LL-Gem and the fight takes longer.
Uber is no longer doable on a budget, half assed build, not even with Mjölner.
