True. I suppose I didn't think of that. But then you may as well just pick up a jewel socket at that point? You can get a lot more than just 10% ias to boost your dmg from 2 points spent on a socket over trying to get mana on hit.

No I understand, but I'm saying you just take out LMP and replace it with blood magic. Then you replace those two points into a jewel socket and gain more dps that way. I suppose it may matter more for me where I'm running devoto's? But at the same time it's something to consider. I'm just thinking of different ways this build may be functional.

If I had the chroms, I'd definitely try it as I'd be able to take off some mana-related passive skill points and focus more on damage or defense.
Well, another good thing about that is that you'd be able to use herald of thunder for a 100% mana reservation, together with curse on hit and a curse of your liking. Warlords mark for example would give accuities more usefulness, not to mention the extra charges.

Lose:
2 projectiles
10% speed

Gain:
Leech and charges from curse
2 skills (can easily reach a jewel slot in multiple places of the tree or life)
15% lightning damage from HOT
Never worrying about being mana starved

Is the build good enough not to require them at all, in which case you should remove that line as it is incorrect, or does Kingsguard perform poorly enough that you absolutely have to go back to Acuity/LL on tougher endgame content (effectively making Kinsguard superfluous since in that case you might as well use Lightning Coil instead)?

Yeah they are necessary for MY version of the build.
Thats why I put them in () a few lines more down.
I absolutly need them, because I need the armour; INT and life.
I said a few times, you can do it without them, but you would need to change the tree around or get gloves with really high INT.
Kingsguard alone IS enough to do all content, but I MYSELF like to be flexible.
SO when I need LL I can use it /point.


About the LMP; BM issue.
If I ever get an Enlighten lvl 4 I'll use BM; maybe get a jewelsslot or APS nodes and use HoI or AA.
But as long as I don't have an enlighten lvl 4 I'll use the mana gain setup.

I chose to use Intuitive leap so the left of templar to grab the power charge, devotion and endurance charge. North of Witch I took the jewel socket instead of the power charge and I dropped the mana gain on hit nodes at the bottom of duelist.

This also lets me switch between lightning strike/molten strike as needed.

With this gear and the tree changes I made. I can run kingsguard/divinarius, or light coil/rathpith and keep max res either way. Sure i'd have to change my jewels since the ones i'm using are attack speed/attack speed with a shield, but thats no big deal really.

Haven't had a chance to try uber yet as I need a hope to drop, but I can do normal pretty comfortably, face tanking trio and her still with no real problems.

In the future I may even drop Barbarism, endurance charge. switch to that jewel socket and Leap back to barbarism, endurance charge and Juggernaut for the same amount of points currently spent.

Having a blast (pun intended) with this build in Tempest and it's doing really well against all content thus far.

Will be looking to get some more chaos res and 6L my armor for Fortify in the near future.
