For this build Prism Guardian is required though, at least if you want to effectively use Discipline and Arctic Armour =)

Wouldn't using prism guard make our char more vulnerable since the mana reserved is using blood magic?

No, it only increases the up-time of their proximity shield :)

You should probably switch the auras in your shield and your weapon. You'd reserve drastically less life with AA/Disc/Enlighten in your shield vs wrath/haste/generosity. +Level also doesn't affect wrath and haste nearly as much as discipline and AA.

I will be re-making my summoner soon and I like the prism guardian idea and will incorporate it to make my tree much more efficient and save on gem slots.
My summoner usually use midnight bargain but I like the montregul and am thinking of switching to that, but we'll see!

I did notice in warbands montreguls are very cheap! :)
