[2.2 Video Guide] Beginner's Build: Dual Flame Totem, Blood Magic Chieftain [Atziri & HC/SC Viable]
What is the minimum amount of armor should you have? If I switch to infernal mantle my armor is only 2k.

" Check out the Path of Exile wiki or poe.trade :) (The wiki is really good for finding out which acts to get gems from). " CWDT and Immortal Call still work together, however Enduring Cry is now a "War Cry" and not a "Spell". Hence the OP telling you to max lvl it and self cast. You can still use this combo. " Your point whether true or not is invalid. This is a flame totem build, you should look for another thread if you wish to have an incinerate build :) |
" Get as much as you can whilst still getting everything else you need, it doesn't need to be too much of a focus IMO though since you should be placing your fire totems ahead of yourself to not get hit. You will obviously get hit sometimes but you shouldn't need to tank too much damage :) Plus granite flasks with the flask points in the skill tree mean you should basically always have your granite flasks active whilst clearing. " Getting Mantle and a good wand increase your damage by quite a lot. I'd focus on getting those first and then worrying about whether your damage is good enough, because without those two items, you're hurting yourself. I personally am using two wands also, because I can survive without a shield, I'm not recommending that for you because I don't want you to die! But if you can get away with it, you might as well. Even at 12k tooltip DPS~ I was able to solo clear maps in groups of 2/3 (under lvl 78), it wasn't as fast as solo play obviously, but it's doable (and 12k isn't that high compared to values people have posted). Would three dragons be a useful item in this sort of build?
New to the game, but having a ton of fun with totems so far :) |
" Three Dragons relies on applies status ailments (eg shock, freeze, etc) onto mobs. Those status ailments really need crit to apply. This build does not stack crit, so you'll be rarely applying status ailments - so three dragons won't benefit this build. |
" ok, what about rebuild this for more crit? base: maligaro+ratnest, spell crit wand |
" Only vs bosses. And yes,inc is very strong. But solotarget:( |
" if you are willing to go full crits you must spec out of bm, or you will not be able to pick up all the fine crits. This also yelds a dps boost with herald and anger, but will be quite hard to sustain enough mana. |
" To make crit really shine you have to go all out on it. This build is a beginner build to make it easy to gear up. As such, no crit gear is required and most of the damage nodes are base dmg vs crit. Most crit trees forgo the shield completely, use a 2h staff or dual wield, and take completely different nodes. When you start saying "rebuild this" you are really saying, "do a completely differnet build" in which case i'd just follow a crit build thread if you want to try it. |
