[2.0 HC/SC] Wolder's Blood Magic Burning Discharger Scion/Templar
Question, would it be possible to drop blood magic to go into the marauder area for more regen if I wanted to do RF discharge version or would the cost be to high?

" Yes that is an option. You loose the 35% life from BM, and would have to deal with mana, but it is more than viable. The damage from RF is also a very great damage increase. :) Swap your staff with Rise of the Phoenix and a high fire dmg wand/scepter or a Catalyst. _________________

will cloak of flame be good on this build?
ps: im using realshaper not searing |

Is the Templar variant really meant to skip the Templar area Endurance Charge in favor of the Jewel socket in the Witch area?
EDIT: Also, why the Resolute Technique? Last edited by StarRune#3840 on Aug 11, 2015, 11:22:11 AM

Do you play with the Clear Mind jewel? With BM the full spell dmg is apllied.

To briefly answer some of these questions...
Cloak of Flame is not a good item when the build isn't especially built around the taking physical damage as fire part, which would mean upping fire resistance beyond the usual 75 or 76 percent. This build does not do that. Resolute Technique is used only so you don't die to a Thornflesh rare when you hit a critical strike on it (I think whole Thornflesh packs don't exist anymnore). Although it's only one passive point, I don't think it's strictly necessary because non-modified crits only do 150% percent of damage, and with careful playing this won't kill you against Thornflesh. If you still want to be safe from it, I am personally not taking Resolute Technique but use Ungil's Harmony because then I get an additional 14% ignite chance (doubled critical strike chance) compared to Resolute Technique and am just as safe. I don't know the Templar tree by heart, but in my opinion five max Endurance charges are enough for what that build can do, which is run maps up to 75. It's enough damage. So if you already take a charge from a bandit quest you only need one other from the tree. And Jewels ARE powerful. I imagine Clear Mind to be very good in the BM version but haven't tested it myself. scroogetemplar / scroogewitch / scroogemarauder

Hi, i'm currently following your guide as a scion, and it looks really interresting, tho i'm a bit sceptical about the defensive mechaniques.
I begin to play with enduring cry and shock nova (i'm lvl 64 and begin the transition from lvling build with totem and firestorm) and so i'm often near the monsters. The time i need to cast enduring cry and shock nova, the quickest monsters are already hiting me. I admit i haven't the best upgraded gear at the moment but i feel like the physical damage reduction on the build isn't high enough. I got like 42% physical reduction (going up to 66% with all charges up) but if i understand well how the build works, once you used discharge, you'll have like 1 or 2 charges left coming from warlord's mark except if u run into a big pack of mobs to kill more of those at the same time and get more charges. So except if you got a really good gear with tons of armor, i find the playstyle a bit dangerous I decided to rework your skill tree to get more armor nodes and came up with a decent thing i think. - 10 maximum life (wich can be taken easly since its the starting node but i think its an expensive point)
- 1% maximum life (+190% for your path, 189% for mine) - 0.2% of max life regeneration/second (5% for your path, 4.8% for mine) - 40% mana rege rate (wich is kinda useless since we're using bloodmagic) + 54% increased armour (44% for your path, 98% for mine) + 8% chaos resist + 28% all resists (wich help focussing on high armor gear more than high resists or let some place on rings stats to get more offensive ones or some magic find, or using extra uniques like blood dance) Stat wise:

your path:
Intel: 190 Strength: 215 Dex:0 my path: Intel: 170 Strength:245 Dex:10 More strength would bring more hp, some dex is cool to run at least level 1 artic breath and lmp/gmp, and i think 170 intel is enough to run max leveled intel gems, + more intel bring nothing interressant (mana/ES) What do you think of this? Do you think the +10 max life would make a big difference? same for the +54% armour? Anyhow, great build, i didnt change so much on yours but i hope this little change can bring me more safety with that gameplay. Cheers mate and stay safe EDIT: i was a bit tired and didnt notice i missed 5 points for fire damage on top of the tree EDIT 2: i just RIP-ed lvl 65, with approx. 70% damage reduction and 3K5 life, i got chain-stunned by a pack of 3 blue mobs... I'm giving up this build, thx for the journey ==IGN: DefNotSummShaz Last edited by 5h4z4m#0530 on Aug 18, 2015, 2:13:43 PM

Hi, i wanted to share my thought about this build.
So i'm currently lvl 84 and as much as i enjoy this build i also as much hate it :P Its very very very fun and clear speed is very nice but sometimes i'm getting killed so fast i wanna throw my pc out the window.Survivability with this build is very poor , and i'm running AA (4,2k hp , 4,8k w/o) and 2 granite flask.I even took US couse without it i was getting stunlocked all the time. With my current gear i have 2k armour - 21% dmg reduction with chaos golem and with flask i have 43% dmg reduction.Granted i usually die couse of my reckless playstyle but still :) On my way to 90 i'm thinking on going for Soul of steel circle and chaos res/hp nodes, but maybe i'll drop some hp/dmg nodes and se how it will work out. Anyways thank you for this build couse i havent had that much fun in a long time;) My gear

I feel the same, Doryani's Catalyst + high armour shield helps a bit but it's still rippy...but fun! I believe that Ball Lightning instead of Nova also helps survival. What kind of maps are you doing? At 83 I couldn't go beyond yellow 74 maps without dying multiple times.
