it sounds a bit dramatized but a game which cashes in only if a majority of players like the way the game currently is and where it is going heavily depends on delivering content and innovations.
i think poe did well in the past regarding this matter and found back to it's roots of difficulty, challenge and the endless grind to find better items.

I am really hyped! There is so much shiny stuff going on! This is going to be the best year for gamers EVER. Not going to list other games. But MAN! What a heck of a year XD
