Not sure if I have another 40/40 in me for this league.

I did the math on it, and not accounting for the possibility of dropping the maps required to complete the challenges. For the end-game grinds, (roughly (30 Core * 18-25c) + (30 Dark Forest * 17-22c) = 1050-1410 chaos, or 16ish - 21 ish ex. Being able to do those twinned (could probably do Dark Forest twinned) would chip some of them off but eh.

Also doesn't factor in pushing for the Warbands.

I got the portal. I'm happy enough with that for now. I have 40 or so Offerings, so maybe if those runs end up being profitable I'll push for full completion.

Regarding quality on gems, what is the order of effectivness when GCP'ing them?

Also, can you give an estimate on how much a lvl 4 empower would increase damage compared to 3? I'm sitting at 21.6k damage with everything up right now, no quality on any gems.

a) CA comes first. The AoE directly impacts pack clear speed for most situations. All the other damage gems have no order, they're all 10% increases, so the decision comes down to whether you want to buff your IIR, or your dps.

Other than the CA gem itself, I would just 20% recipe everything else.

b) About 2k tooltip, unbuffed (no charges, no golem), depending on your tree/jewels.

I'm not a huge fan of this one either but it's nice to have a change of pace. My default portal for a while has been the Arctic one.

He'll likely beat me to 40.

I was 7/8 in Ambush/Invasion, and I've been perfect on challenges ever since then (Aug, 2014). I'm starting to lose my drive for getting perfects, I think.

I imagine I'll eventually get it, but likely not in the three-week record pace I set for myself in Prophecy.

This league some of the endgame grinds are crazy - 60 Izaro would take forever unless you've got something that can zip past all the traps.

30 Cursed King was easy (twinned for my build was no problem).
30 Eater of Souls is probably one of the ones I'll do - not sure how easy twinned is going to be.
Vaal Temple maps are stupidly expensive otherwise I'd at least try them.
100 Atziri is just gated by fragment drops - not sure how expensive sets are. But you can self-fund a large part of that one depending on mortal drops.

So I'm still tentatively planning on 40/40.

The endgame map drop rates are really crazy. If I roll for quantity and packsize, I'm getting lots of T15s and the occasional T16. So even if dual EoS isn't doable, it's probably quite doable to roll some quasi-hard mods and largely self-fund the 30 EoS kills.

I did Atziri last league. I think I only had about 20 of my own sets built/ran, by the time I went for it. The rest were bought and paid for and kept cycling themselves well enough, with some decent profit at the end of them (I was ridiculously lucky with Hope drops, though).

Even without that, would've been enough to chain farm, especially with the occasional vaults Prophecy.

I just burnt the hell out on Atziri doing it. And I was never a fan of doing Apex anyway.

So, unless I'm forced into it, no thanks.

Sets were roughly 7-8c last I checked, so that's still 700-800 chaos, with a decent chance of paying for themselves if you get enough frags / diviner boxes.

As far as owning maps goes, I'm 5/60 (not factoring twinned), so 8.3% I guess isn't a bad start.

We'll see. For now I'm going to focus on Warbands and leeching the last Essence to put me to 38, then go from there.
