I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not..

but I'm finding more Uber Lab Trials than maps from bosses at the moment.
You running alc'd maps?

Transmuted only. Semi-skipping stuff and killing the boss(es). Relying mainly on the 20% flat additional chance of a boss to drop a map.

I've taken to shooting arrows at most mobs and if it dies before I run past or if the loot filter dings I"ll stop and loot, otherwise I'll just run past, intentionally not picking up a lot of rares which might drop one I've run past a pack.

I should probably fiddle with Neversink's loot filter to ding when rare amulets drop (bottleneck for me for the chaos recipe).

I'm still farming Offerings (I'll likely run Uber even after 40 runs) though so zipping past stuff makes sense for me. Even though I'm just transmutting I often take back 4+ portals of stuff.

I could get more maps by alching, but meh... I need the Offering anyways. And the fastest way to get those - other than buying them (which I might end up doing since Offerings are only 5c each) - is to just zip through linear or easy outdoor maps.

Might as well alc, though. Increases map drops, currency drops, likelihood of removing your recipe bottleneck, and will get 39/40 faster with the boss drops.

Or if your second-last challenge is end-game grind, just Atziri it down and get 13+ Mortal Hopes like I did ;)

As an aside, I ran about 20 Terraces today. No Lucky Deck cards. Boooo.

It would be faster for maps, yes, but since I need the Offerings, I'm going to be skip-running maps.

Since I don't pick up a lot of the drops I think that the alch expense per map wouldn't pay off.

All I want is enough maps to sustain my very low level map pool (T1-T5 mostly), an occasional map from a boss for the map drops challenge and as many Offerings/hr as I can farm (which is why I'm not picking up loot).

======
I've got bunch of Sacrifice fragments just sitting idle - don't know if I want to run them or sell them at this point.
======

If I just wanted 40/40 I could knock that out fairly easily - but I'm trying to farm currency for a stupidly expensive build I have in mind. I've got an idea in mind about how to raise a bunch of exalts - but we'll have to see how viable it is. If my idea works out I'll probably just buy Offerings and run labs since that will be the biggest income earner per unit time.

What build?
Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.
Level 88 now, fixed a few of the slots that could benefit from upgrades, getting to 90 on this toon but I love the build so much that I'm thinking about investing more money into it, but i'm a bit lost.

Spoiler

40% CA damage on the helmet seems like the biggest upgrade left?

or buying a 21/20 CA?

what else it's doable?

i have a good budget (15-ish ex) but don't really want to roll a new char from zero

For DPS:
You get roughly 10% more damage for each CA level. 21/20 CA and level 4 Empower are your best upgrades.

The 40% increased CA damage for the helm enchant likely won't amount to an overall 10% pickup in damage due to diminishing returns on "increased" damage.

For clear speed:
+1 arrow drillneck

For better magic find:
Well-rolled Ventor's and (very expensive), perfect jewels with life, damage, resists (if needed) and magic find. Do the jewels last if at all - it'll be silly expensive and not worth it except if you want a near-perfect character.
