@Serleth... nice to get a mid-range HP benchmark... I was at 3.7-4k for the longest time... recently bought jewels with 22% dmg mods and +5-7% life mod for 20-40c, and reached level 90 and now my life sits at 4.6k... (Your 4.8k front page top-top-top-end always seemed unattainable)

I think my lvl 20 Grace puts me at 12-13k Evasion... 1-2 days from finishing master levels to mastercraft my Bow and upgrade helm/gloves/amulet for more HP/Eva and IIR while maintaining resists...

Bought lvl 21/0 CA until I can Vaal 21/20... tooltip jumped another 2-2.5k to 18.5k DPS buffed...

I finally got around to farming some T9 maps the other day after a small break... Gorge doesn't seem nearly as awesome as community thinks it is with this build specifically... him flickering all the time seems pretty rippy, and makes it harder to keep him in your clouds... much preferring Arid Lake T9... and great nostalgia from when I last played PoE heavily in 1.2/Rampage and it was still T1...

Glad you're seeing the potential of the build, especially with the life. I think I'm at 4.85k right now in Perandus (thanks to the extra passive points from Ascendant), and I don't even have life on my jewels yet. Granted, I focused more on life than damage. For the rest of the tree.

I got super lucky, my first vaal went 21/20 =D

Trick for the Gorge boss: depending how you work your gear you can have VLT available to swap to on your hotbar.

So what you do is you pull your Flame Golem gem out from your gear at the boss, or you just let it die in the map, whichever.

Then you drop a Wither totem right on your feet.

What happens then is that Kraityn basically just flickers in the same spot, all the time. Because there's no golem wandering around for him to target. It's just you, and the totem right next to you.

Drop your Vaal Lightning trap, curse him, and watch him die in seconds, because he never leaves your cloud. Stay static and just flask out the damage.

=D

Really enjoying this build. I followed it from the start, and adapted it a bit later based on Grocery's CA build. This is my second league - I started mid-way through Talisman playing a TS Ranger, which was pretty cool.

Some highlights of this build in this league for me:
- First time I've had a 6-link.
- First time clearing high tier maps.
- First time figuring out how CWDT works.
- Deathless Atziri run on my second attempt (first was during Talisman)

My current gearing plan is to finish leveling my gems, switch my Seething Divines for Seething Halloweds, aim for a 21/20 CA (currently got a 21/0), and then get some expensive rare items to push my resistances high enough to put a Lightning Coil on. My bow has a high Lightning Resis roll, should it should be possible.

I'm also currently using a Pierce gem in my 6-link instead of using the Pierce cluster. I'm not sure if it's worth losing the damage/Life to regret out skills to go for it so that I can stick the IIR gem in.

A small question though: is Soul Siphon worth going for? I took Mana Flows over it for the extra Int, and with Clarity I'm not having any mana issues, though I suppose on maps with a high mana regen penalty it might be painful.

Anyway, thank you so much for the guide!

I meant 5.8k in your old uber screenshot, not 4.8k... thanks for the tips on Gorge... I went the Phase Acro route with my skilltree customization... just been taking life% nodes from the scion rectangle since about 86 to buff my low HP... not sure where I could have been picking up extra DPS nodes instead of life/phase acro... we seem to take all the obvious reachable clusters already

@mule: in the FAQ spoiler section Serleth says you can take IIQ instead of IIR in Standard if you can maintain 230-250 IIR without the IIR support gem
Hi,

This is my first HC char, should I level with Firestorm/Fire Trap or Arc/Orb of Storms?

Thanks
zzz
I ment is it possible to use them both, iiq and iir? Without IIR gem i have 267%
If you want to be lazy about avoiding melee in mid-tier maps, you can swap Mana Flows for Primal Spirit and run Basalt + Stibnite flasks. Between Arctic Armor, Stibnite blind, and Basalt damage reduction, you can pretty much facetank anything T9 and below.
Thanks Serleth for making this guide and keeping it updated specially for the build!

Was really good starter build for the new league, to collect enough currency for making another more 'solid' spec for higher tier farming.

My 40 challenges would have not been done without this nice build and guide.

For Uber, I believe Serleth mentions that he drops his Andvarius Rings in favor of rare rings.

I do this as well for difficult bosses and rippy maps.

These aren't the best rings, but by swapping to these

I gain something like 800 life.
(I'm running my own version of the build that has more %life, so you might not see such high numbers.)
