[2.2] Ice Crash: Size does Matter (including leveling guide video)
I agree with Violander
I want to follow this build, but i'm also confused as to what build i should follow, i'm only level 14 on the warbands league, but the way v1.2 looks compared to the leveling build it seems it will require a good amount of refunds to get it to look like v1.2, i'd rather be a bit weaker leveling than to waste alot of time and money trying to regret all those passives I want to know whether it is best to follow the allround build and keep it (or just reset a few passives) because i'm in a softcore league or should i follow v1.2 which looks like it was made for hardcore, but i'm not sure. Thanks |

Hi,
Why are there 3 different versions (1.0, 1.1, 1.2) of the build? Which one should I follow? I am confused. Regards, |

I'm having issues with surviving right now. I'm sitting at 69 and my ice crash does 12k and I can stun lock most all enemies. The issue is with ranged mobs if I try to leap slam them I actually run into their projectiles and it kills me instantly. I'm sitting at 65% physical damage reduction and 75% all resists. What's a quick and dirty way to boost Ehp/defence when you already have 500+armor on boots, gloves, and helmet and 1000+ armor on chest? I'm using a 5S 4L marohi erqi with ice crash/elemental damage/melee damage/life steal/fortify to ensure 100% up time and warlords mark to boost life leech and endurance

Same issue as the post above me. Also, should I regret and re-route my points now or wait till later?

I'm running a similar build, a few key differences though.
1. I realised how much I hated mana management, getting mana leech on gear and on the board was a hassle, it was wasting points that could be used elsewhere. Bloodmagic on the board has saved me a hell of a lot of hassle and I will eventually switch it out(for gems linked with skills) and run Grace/Hatred reserving 100% of my mana. 2. Forgoing defences is probably not the best idea. I'll be looking at approx 12k armor with just grace running, with the huge spike in phys damage this patch and no more auto immune to phys CWDT I rate armor pretty high. 3. By ignoring mana steal/regen I can focus on max hp, hp regen and lifesteal. I am trying to be pretty even with these stats as they all compliment each other. 4. I hate mana. 5. This build works with axes too, you can go for accuracy/crit if you want, or maces and the never miss node. It's flexible and above all else it's FAST at farming. Great as a first char in a new league to get you some currency to try some crazier builds later. Last edited by ninjaomega3#1797 on Jul 17, 2015, 12:45:20 AM

How many chromatics did you used to make Carcass 4R1B1G? It looks extremely hard to get. Also, are you sure it is best to craft this chest for 25 chroms instead of just using chroms?

" Single target will always be hard with ice crash. Can always weapon swap to heavystrike for bosses, itĺl stun better too. Uniques dont have THAT much resis, the occasional rare with double resis , equilibrium map should take abit of time. its the rock paper sissor thing for all builds. " 1- y 5 endurance charges is nice, can even go up to like 7 and a chaos gollem. good DPS is needed, gotta kill a boss before your flask charges run out. Prepare for boss fights, for example i swap in 2x topaz flask for torture chamber boss. Most dangerous bosses dont do physical dmg, and the ones that do, are usually easy to stun. (labyrinth shooter or orchard devourer (also fire) for example.). With a random 1H your damage is just on the low side to stun big stuff with ice crash. 2- For me Atziris promise flask was the anwser to all my leech needs. Had anough for trash, and for bosses i used atziri flask to get more leech and dmg. 3. Well hmm, thats kinda what this build is about, agressive play style is the safest way to go. When you party up, the second thing theyĺl say after "Hi" is "holy crap! your CC is awesome!!! " then the third thing youĺl hear after them seeing you kill stuff "whats your DPS? " 4. Its not the safest compared to long range killers, but its viable. When you have that 500+ phys dps mace and a 6L youŕe reached the next level. By then all but the hardest content is just trivial. " Some builds will allways be good vs atziri, and some worse. This build is not focussed on atziri but end game mapping. You need the burst damage for split atziri phase and trio. I left in hypothermia, even though atziri cannot be chilled, the split atziri can be chilled and stunned. (put some quality on hypothermia too) Im on vacation so I cant see your tree/gear. Just checking: do you have temporal chains on hit? that might be the difference for the trio fight. CHill lasts longer and stunning gets much longer then. It might be you just need some more levels/quality on your gems to tip the ballance in your favor. But even then youĺl need some practice and figure out your skill rotations. Cyclone will always be the better atziri killer, movement and life gain on hit wise the skill rocks for that fight. Atziri with ice crash is a huge gear check " Leapslam is mainly for activating fortify/endurance charges and moving around. With leapslam you can ensure having the fortify buff on 24/7 Vengeance is just a nice bonus skill if you have the gem space for it. Can link it to leech, stun, endurance charge on stun , melee phys etc etc whatever you like. its not crucial. @Minstrelshadrak Last edited by MinstrelShadrak#5606 on Jul 17, 2015, 9:04:36 AM

" That some very nice leveling gear. I dont think it matters much what you do from here to lvl 50. Personally I link everything to bloodmagic and run herald of ash-increased burning damage. Just for easy mode 's sake. Since I see you have some orbs to spend, try get asenaths gloves, 4link em, throw in cwdt-arcticbreath-gmp-incduration. then you alrdy have 1 piece of your gear rdy for endgame. " Could not link gear from beta in the forums. Might find more info about gem links in the videos " damage from leaping is anough to stun and generate. I think vengeance mislead you, I probably just had a surplus red socket in there , and popped in a gem to try. Enduring cry is indeed more reliable, dont leave town without a loose gem enduring cry. Best way to get your charges up quick, and keep em running in a boss fight. Warlords mark is nice for leveling, but not the prefered curse. temporal chains on hit is. " you need unwavering for end game. early game your probably will have 20% chance to evade, so dont take it too soon. when you get a carcass take iron reflexes. So it all depends on your gear. I did not have anough points for unwavering/stun/IR so could not go scion life wheel. Not the end of thing, since you can easily reach 3-4 jewel spots for 8%life +++ jewels. My suggestion is, when you got a nice 2h mace with stun, and a belt with reduced stun treshold, go all they way with stun. otherwise take the most efficient life/dmg/defense nodes possible. @Minstrelshadrak Last edited by MinstrelShadrak#5606 on Jul 17, 2015, 11:33:40 AM

" " Best to go allround to something like level 6x. You get plenty respec from quests to get everything sorted later. Besides at that point you looking to invest 4-8ex into your weapon and body chest (5L 450+ dps mace and a 5L carcass). 10 regrets hardly seem to matter at that stage. " the marohi is not quick anough to "strike first, stun first, kill first". excellent to level abit with, but look to replace it, and use marohi as heavystrike boss killer on the weapon swap. as for play style, try activate the granite while jumping in. link leapslam to fortify, faster attacks, end charge stun,(5th bloodmagic). remove the lifeleech from icecrash, add in melephys / wed / *inc aoe or hypo. try get temporal chains on hit on gloves. " somewhere around 400-600 chromatics. I spammed vorici recipy 2R. So right bottum socket of the carcass has got to be the loose one on a 5L. @Minstrelshadrak Last edited by MinstrelShadrak#5606 on Jul 17, 2015, 11:49:13 AM

" cheers, glad to see youŕe enjoying it. About the reflect, if you gotta do ele reflect (your highest tier map just rolled massive quantities), can always go back to the roots: groundslam to clear it with 100% phys. Atziri is a gear check for sure. @Minstrelshadrak
