[Item Filter] One Filter to Rule Them All 4.9.2 (Updated 2021-10-25 / EOL)

The location mentioned in the first post doesn't exist. Did PoE change the file location? Do I now put it in Program Files?

Do you use steam? It might be different in that case, I'm note sure.

You can open the folder from within the PoE client, though. Simply click Options (or "O"), select "UI" and click "Show Folder" at the end.

Hi, few things:

* Map drop sound between white & yellow seem to be switched? The audio cue doesn't really make sense like it used to in terms of rarity?

* Another change I am puzzled about: Treasure Key from lab color is now practically the same as wisdom/portal scrolls, I thought it was fine before when you could tell the key apart in a big pile of loot (I think it was green like a stone of passage kind of?)

* Breach splinters sound changed to the chaos/fusing/etc sound, bit hard to differentiate them from ear when doing a breach now.

* Really small thing but with veiled mods now it seems like Warband item affixes belong in the trash tier (looking at you "Cannot be Frozen" affix, now craftable) so maybe reduce their rarity drop sound a few tiers?

Thanks as usual for this beautiful filter.
Hey,

version 3.5.2 has been released to address the Treasure Key and Warband items on your list. Thank you for letting me know!

I'm currently working on a new major version (as mentioned in the first post in the "Work in Progress" spoiler). One of the goals was to rework dropsounds.

I've always felt they were a little random and sometimes too close or even equal to each other (Exalted Orbs vs Atlas of Worlds bases vs high tier Divination cards for example). White and yellow maps had no dropsound besides the default one that the game client assigns. In the current version I've tried to make them distinguishable by their sound, minimap icon and effect (beam). Increasing the volume with maptier (using the same dropsound) felt weird and often left me unsure what tier (white, yellow, red, high red) actually dropped.

So far I like the 'new way' more than the old, even though it might need a little time to get used to. It's likely that the dropsound for yellow maps will change, I think it's too strong right now (the sound itself, not the volume). Unfortunately, there are only so many sounds to choose from.

Breach splinters had no dropsound at all in the old version (besides the game's default if there is one) and is now also using the "low tier currency" dropsound in addition to being displayed on the minimap.

Could you explain why you want to distinguish between other low tier currency and splinters? It's certainly possible if it makes sense.

Again, thanks for letting me know!

My bad, I was thinking of the <Default> PoE lootfilter (not the "None" but the "Default" one) which I think is pretty nice and in the spirit of oftrta.

I just meant that breaches can be a bit messy and you will hear the splinter sound a lot, which could make you miss one or two chaos orbs if you're too busy to pay attention to the visual text drops, them having the same sound could reinforce that.

Looking forward to the new version!

hello. Been trying to figure out how to show iron rings for the changing paua rings to amulets, to use for chaos recipe. Been tinkering with changing hide to show in the file but its not working. Anyone able to help me fix this? Would appreciate it abunch.

If you struggle getting the toggles to work, go to line 2294 directly, and change from "Hide" to "Show".

For the toggle to work, you need to make sure it's a Tab between "Hide" and "#Amulets, Rings, Belts - Iron Ring".

THanks for the reply, will try it when i get home.
Excellent job..Sir..have a nice new year ;)
i used this filter for a very long time. In my opinion this filter went more and more into a "troll filter" makes crazy sounds on worthless stuff. I would recommend everybody who want to enjoy Quality of Life of the poe filters to switch to a more modern filter because this is like it was back then when fliters came up. Im very glad i changed and want to share this.
No offense to developer of filter :D

Every league I rage about the filter more and more, especially now that's become an uneditable clusterfuck, but in the end, it's the only somewhat working filter on the market that doesn't look like a complete and utter abortion. I really wish we had some editing software... =(
