Yes. And those new users have been playing the Beta and enjoying it, generating very valuable feedback.

A lot of people signed up for Path of Exile after reading about The Awakening. I understand that they haven't played 1000+ hours yet, but neither has the average Path of Exile player.

More experienced players than new players have been invited so far, by a large margin.

Guess that explains a lot about why new players are invited as well. I play PoE since after it has been released to the public, I had no part in the actual beta testing before.

Anyways, people who know exactly what to do and what to not do may give good feedback, but so will new players. If you complain about random invites try to sort out beta invites of other games. There you'll get an email and can't see who made it into the beta, so there is no discussion about it.

Which means that this is way more transparent than many people argue...

Beta isn't going well after 31hours because i don't have access :D.

Well there is nothing else to do or no game to play in these 6-8 weeks beta process...
At least give us a 1 week race or something (not 1-2 hour events) To make the time pass...
Other then that i just sit in agony watching timer to hit my name which is not seems likely. This shit happened to me in 1st closed beta also... Waited alot to play the game and not funny.

The bad thing about this is the 2 months with nothing to do. Standard is too boring.

But I have a feeling that the Beta will be made available to everyone soon(tm) - maybe before everyone stops playing.

Yet theres nothing too exciting to see in the beta - other than melee becoming the strongest builds and any other build getting heavily nerfed - and all characters and loot in it will be lost.
