on topic though :P
looks like an awesome expansion. So much win will come with this.
I like the more creepy factor to it.

Also a Beta question: will beta characters be deleted at the end of Beta?

Of course!
"I'm going to show you pain you never knew existed, you're going to see a whole new spectrum of pain!!!!! Like a RAINBOW!"
Just WOW!
This is way more than I expected. So much new content! Nine (hopefully) awesome bossfights!!
Socketed skilltree!!??!! + the QoL improvements, + working on desync, + fundamental balance changes...
GGG you are so crazy awesome!

Was a bit sad about the beta first. I fear it will not feel like entering undiscovered land, once the expansion launches for all of us.
But after seeing all vids and reading through the articles, I think its necessary to test all these massive changes and its better to stay away from the forums for a while to not get spoiled than to have major balance issues, legacy jewls, a flood of nerf QQs...
I hope i will be in closed beta. I'm so excited :D
Expect the unexpected.

The new Passive Skill Tree changes are absolutely genius and unprecedented vs. anything I have ever seen before in an ARPG. I really hope I get into the Closed Beta to test it out, thoroughly.

You dont need the CB for that. Act 4 will be free as the rest of the game and it will come shortly after the CB.

Did you miss me that much in the forums, DirkAustin? It seems you always have something to say to somebody, especially me since we have argued before.

Anyway, it should not have to be explained to you that a Closed Beta is for testing so that when the game does get released to those who are new to the game, or those who did not make it into the Closed Beta, there will not be as many embarrassing bugs and other issues that may arise so as to make the game crash / unplayable.

Conclusively, you are just the type to find argument in anything when you are devoid of an argument to begin with.

Sit down for a while, get over yourself and hush, please, unless you have something worth saying.

Thank you.
When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails.
Just because a game receives a great amount of praise vs. only a small amount of criticism
does not mean to call it a day and make a foolish misplaced assumption that it is perfect.

I was a bit afraid of that too. No confidentiality clause (if any) would stop a twitcher to stream and a forumer to post. If unelected, I'll be afk til Open Beta too.
I am so excited:) support.. support.. support..

I think I could break your game with Gem passives on the tree that is going to make some build insanely overpowered.

My biggest fear isn't the game breaking builds.

It's the nerfs that will follow.

Nerfs are necessary because if nerfing in games did not exist, everybody would always be running overpowered things so as to not only conquer all the game content absurdly quicker than already is, but all those people on the RMT sites, etc. will gain an advantage because of overpoweredness.

So what can we gather from this? There is no sense getting bent out of shape over nerfs that are sure to come because we already know nerfing is going to happen, and yet you guys linger in this comfort zone of hope that just maybe it will never happen. Well, it's going to happen, so prepare yourselves in advance.

With that being said in mind, I support nerfs all day long, but personally, the only nerfs I do not agree with are the ones that affect things that were never overpowered to begin with that were/are better left alone.
