I know the beta will only bring a more solid release of Act 4 but just don't like waiting + I won't watch any beta streams because I'd like to discover most of the expansion myself. I don't care if people get an advantage but I think a beta for an expansion just kills the hype and tje joy of a new release for everyone.

" How can a beta kill any hype? That makes literally no sense. Act 4 comes out regardless of the beta being there or not. So if you dont get hyped for act 4 just because some people do the beta i think you got other issues. |

Of the 50 new Uniques how many are Supporter made?
Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.
I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_- |

After all the News & some Time to think about it I have to admit that the Way it is done killed my Hype for the Thing itself.
The Content seems great, as expected, although I see Balancing-Problems with the Skilltree-Jewls bringing us new Problems in a Field that already has Problems. But the biggest Point is that there was a Hype for Act 4 for Months and no Communication about a Beta or a delayed Release in Summer. The Beta will divide this Community for the very first Time in PoE-History, there will be People in Beta spoiling Act 4 & this will take much of the Fun of the final Release in June away for many People. As good as every Version of beta in this Game was, the Beta of April 20th should be fully playable & I hate that we will not experience this together with a really Release, new Leagues and all that. The Thought of only a Part of the Group of People I play with may come into Beta is terrible. I would have liked open Communictaion and a Delay til this Expansion is fully done, an small Alpha, no Beta, no Hype for Nothing (at this Point), no Problem with Spoilers & Discussions. Feeling strange about all this, meh :( Keep calm, play PoE, drink Tea & listen to Prog!

I'm so glad I discovered this game and look forward to playing it for years. You guys at GGG keep making it better. Great job.

When the first CB launched, the community was much smaller and basically anyone that wanted it, in the end got a spot. But now with the community being much bigger, we are going to have a selected minority enjoy new content for 2 months, while the rest of us will be doing what exactly? Reading their impressions of the new expansion? „I don't give a fuck if it was his tenth anniversary with his goddamn neckbeard...“

I must admit - I am a bit disappointed with the beta move.
I mean, I understand that it is kind of a soft-launch of act4 and in the best case scenario (everyone gets let in the beta) it's almost as if A4 just launched (since I don't care about balance fixes - there will be some anyway always). But not quite yet. And ofcourse it will be horrible if only a handfull of people have access to CB. I was fully ready to play A4 in a 2-4 weeks timeline. And now in the worst case scenario (I am not in CB) I will have to watch as others play CB and I wait for 2 months. Oh well. -_- |
