A few words about Global 820

Got my 36 this morning thanks to 820 , yes i had people try to scam me twice when i was getting my stuff done but meh never pay before completion period.

General 820 and trade 820 are a godsend .

What do you expect when certain streamers teach people that it's ok to sell in global and mods are more likely to mute you for whatever reason than the person several people report for selling in global?

When I started playing mods used to warn people with a global message that selling in global is forbidden. Since then moderation went to shit and I can't think of a single mod that actually does his job.

Also the fact that there is no consequence to selling or offering services for a fee (pm for info) is what led to 820 being the shithole it is now. There's no such thing as mutes for selling. Stop believing the lie.

This is exactly what 820 is for. I would type something like this into chat:

Or post something like

Trial of Piercing Truth, free, completed, 4 ports open.

Depending on whether the trial had been run and how many ports were still up in the map.

I remember in previous leagues never seeing a certain shrine needed for a challenge. After someone in 820 kindly shared that missing shrine, it seemed like I started seeing them pop up in my games, so I could share them in 820.

My experience there has been overwhelmingly good. You may get the occasional annoying person that doesn't want to follow channel rules.

It'd be nice to just look at global820 when it pops up in chat, but if I want to use it I have to read thru all the other bullshit.

Global 820 has become an “anything goes shitpoast” kind of place. We need a new hangout that the retards don’t know about so things can get done.

Players need to be able to create and moderate their own channels at this point. Let me "claim" some channel and run it as a global 820-like lab channel for trials and carries. If it helps this idea, don't allow perma bans but maybe 1-hour kick and mute from just that specific channel number if that's possible. It'll help the GGG staff focus on more important things like toucans being posted in global 1 :)

And in my channel these toucans will be set free! I'm kidding... sort of.
