Best build with Soul Taker Axe? (Since Cleave got nerfed)

Hello i have been playing Dual wield Cleave Dualist build with my two nice weapons:

i could run 7 auras, had 30kDPS , 5.5kHP, 37k armour with buffs. Here was my guide/build: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/237301/page/1

Now after i came back to this game after about 2 years i heard everything got nerfed. Any ideas how can i build my 92lvl duelist ? Or maybe create new character and try some new builds like DW cyclone with soul taker or soul taker + aegis, or dominating blow?

I would like to have more than 30k dps but also easy solo maps just in case.

I saw this build: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1086736
500k dmg? wtf? it is possible? i barerly did 30k dmg with my cleave
but i cant see he running soul taker here, i think this weapn is top 1 now, so i would like to use it, if its not that good i can sell it, just tell me. So i go other build. Im kinda now "new" to this game. So need your help.

So any suggestions? advice? dunno how can i come back to this game

Regards

Cyclone is pretty good with Soul Taker. Cyclone's largest drawback is that it's super difficult to manage the mana cost, with ST you can basically go all-in on damage and melt things super quick. Maybe even go all-in on movespeed for super fast recasts (and clear speeds too).

The only things you might want to grab off the tree is probably the Templar AoE cluster, and maybe the Duelist +2 range notable to compensate for the annoyingly small range. Everything else is up to you.

answer to "what is the best.." questions in PoE is always: "Depends"

from my personal point of view, Dominating blow is the skill that benefits from Soul Taker the most

Hey. Thanks for all your suggestions. I am surfing on the forum and looking for some builds but there are so many stuff, and i didnt even notice there is new class: Scion ;D

So the question is now, should i make new character and learn the game from begin or keep playing on that 92lvl, but for sure i will keep dying because im basically noob, cuz of that long retire time.

And about build, u said that cyclone or dominating blow is the best with soul taker. U mean Dual wield or i need some shield with that soul taker, that second weapon i got is pretty good too, but does attack speed works with cyclone? i saw a lot of ppl using high dmg 2hand weapon for cyclone for maximum dps.

"The best" for me is high survival and high dmg, im playing on standard so high dmg is more important for me, but i dont want to be 1 shoted :P, pretty much same thing what i had on my cleave.... holy shit cleave was so good, why they nerfed it ? :( do u think i will have better dmg with my cyclone or that dominating blow? compare to cleave??

And again about that dominating blow and cyclone what is the best to run with these skills? Gems i mean, for exampe is multistrike still very good?

I have a lvl 92 blocker (cyclone) using a soultaker, a legacy aegis and a legacy bor - tree is:

Char can do every map with almost every combination of mapmods (exept for bm) and is tanky as hell in general. Dmg & clearspeed is not that fast but still ok. BUT I only have a 140% soultaker, with your 200% one it should be very good even in terms of dmg and clearspeed.

Edit: There are many chars out there today that can do a few 100.000 dps (some are really cheap too) but not even one of them uses a soultaker.

Edit 2: If I were you I would use a shield together with your soultaker. Your 2nd weapon is still not bad but there are MANY MANY weapons out there that are way better for dual wielding today.

Pretty sure you could still reach easy 30k+ Cleave with those 2 weapon if you don't want to change your playstyle.

Having said that, as other people in the thread already told : Cyclone, Frenzy (tho Frenzy is a bit bad now) or Domi Blow are most commonly used with ST and work good.
Thx all.
1)Btw what about auras? what auras are best now since u cant run 7 of them? 2 years ago i could easy run 7 auras with alpha combination/switching gems.
Hatred, determination i guess? and 3rd one?

2)About that cyclone it is worth to run DW or better run it with aegis? How much cost aegis now btw? i have no idea about any prices...and builds now... damn, i dont even know how to set up my duelist build, i feel so lost in this game, so much thing to learn :D

3)Do u know where i can read about this all? About new maps/guest/skills/gems,classes(scion).

4)Also i heard about new "place" everyone can have, and pretty much u can now easy set all colors of ur 6l if u want - using some machines. You just need to have enough chromes, no more RNG(?).
Same thing with 6linking ur armour oO.
How to get this "house"?

5) What is MHC? What are ratios for exalt, gcp, eternal orb, chaos/ how much cost mirror? (Standard) there was some page which all those ratios cant remember it. Same thing with all items from forum, there was a page which u can search everything and see b/o or current offer.

Soul Taker is often used as an offhand with weapon specific skills to allow for extra aura and no BM gem (Reave, Ground Slam). "Modern" 1H builds are almost all crit-based and these skills work with crit focused weapon types (daggers, sceptres).

Best build is sell your legacy soul taker and buy some crit gear.

Cyclone operates both off attack speed and movement speed: When you first activate Cyclone, you pay the cost and immediately make an attack. You then move to the targeted location while attacking based off your attackspeed. If you're holding the attack button down, once you reach the location you pay the cost again and immediately attack again.

So in other words, with a high movement speed, you can attack much faster than normal if you just "short hop" around. The downside to this is supposed to be the cost, but with ST that's not really a factor.

As for your hideout, you get one once you befriend a Forsaken Master. You find them randomly in the world (both maps and story areas), but /global 820 is the dedicated Forsaken Masters service channel where you could piggyback off peoples' missions to get you started.

Most of the info you're looking for is in the wiki. Things you might want to look into include: Trigger gems, Vaal Skills, Corrupted items, Forsaken Masters, and of course List of Unique Items.
