Well he said that the hints were from the item itself that doesn't necessary means that the hints were from the flavor text. It could be from the mods of the item or even the art of the quiver.

" GGG mentioned that Hyrri's Bite had a recipe a few months ago, in one of the diamond pack newsletters. This was because Hyrri's Bite was made specifically to replace the old +dex quivers that were scrapped with the quiver overhaul. It wasn't random at all. The hilarious part is that nobody (publicly) found the recipe until recently.
