Is it possible to get an advanced option to turn off the automated movement when targeting monsters? Basically as if you were holding down shift permanently in regards to monsters but everything else function as if you didn't.

I'll discuss this with the UI guys.



I can't stress enough how exciting this answer is to me, the shift key mechanics promote repetitive strain injuries. I understand it's partially a skill/knowledge thing in poe to combat desync but it's not really an option(to let go of shift key) in high level maps.

I hope the team considers as well potentially turning auto-run(skill key run?) of any form turned off. Like an option to ONLY move with the walk hotkey.

I avoided answering this because there are a lot of different opinions in our office. I'll talk to the guys more about it.


If you are going to talk about it don't forget how silly it is you have to travel to act 1 / 2 / 3 in order to get all your lvl 8 masters once in your hide just to press your hot key programmed with /abondon_daily check their inventory for the 1/9999 chance of a good unique en dismiss them again.
It requires a lot of work and you said so yourself it isn't a MMO where you need to do a lot of silly time consuming stuff this is an ARPG where the action is quick and in general doesn't require lots of time.

No need for them all in my hideout if they aren't lvl 8 but if they hit lvl 8 I should be able to keep them so A: I can place them all on nice spots (I made an area specific for each master in my hide) B: its just plain silly the way it works now.

Yah, they are in a pretty good spot at the moment indeed. That explains why I never ever dropped any Tier 1 unique since august 2012.
There was this question and answer already but wouldn't this be really easy and fast to implement? (made a superfast photoshop mockup)
I think most people would gladly welcome this feature for quick and easy checking.

Probably not in-game, but the PoE wiki is really well maintained and has a lot of information.
