I think you got that in reverse. The flat resistance reduction is FAR better than anything armor can do. At 85 you need extremely high damage for reflect to phase you.

Try getting 85% reduction on armor.

By far the most overpowered stat on the gloves is the +100% shock duration, it basically means you shockstack bosses easily now which is ridiculous. The lack of severe downside affixes on these gloves to counterbalance this is disappointing to say the least. This is NOT a niche unique, it is a mandatory unique that crushes all rare gloves. Disappointing...

heck a spork witch might use them and slap an arc in the gloves, probably beats malis by a good margin given how shock stacks can be super OP (remembering pre-nerf dual totem sporklars in THAT race).
Those gloves are ridiculous beyond words. There is no reason they should exist even if their drop rate was as small as a mirror of kalandra.

Even if they had something like -40% to all elemental resistances theyd still be broke.

Low level uniques that are overpowered for their level range are ok. Godly endgame uniques go against what GGG had said about what and where they wanted uniques to be. But oh well, I suppose they think appeasing diamond supporters is the best way to go about business/PR, and most players just want to faceroll everything with zero effort anyway...

The counter argument is that Diamond supporter don't get their item for free. They still have to farm it, buy it, craft it ... Paying to get an item designed only let other dude faceroll your favorite game.

heh, no serious HC player is ever going to want those gloves over BiS gear really and people it's shock duration not shock chance you're not going to be shocking bosses anymore than you do already. And too the wankers complaining about no counterbalance have you seen the the defensive stats on those? Oh, and hello rip ele reflect lol, too many default players frothing at the mouths atm.

flat mitigation is uncontrollable, at 85% you take 15% regardless of the damage done. With phys damage you can dictate at which amount you take based on your own mechanics and how much damage you do, up to 97% of phys can be mitigated within means and control-ability. most people who hate phys have never used it properly >72 maps or have given up becuase they don't understand how and why it is better then ele. I hope your not one of them.
