Sorry bud, but I also don't see puncture trapper taking first place when it's number one counter, ranger ondars melee, is also a dominant build.

Your opinion is based on your limited experience in LLD. When every melee besides you has no problem with puncture or puncture traps, it looks less like an issue about puncture being OP and more of an issue of your inability to play in a manner that counters it. That's like saying melee needs to be nerfed because I don't like running away or smoke mining and they're stronger than me in melee range.

Flicker already closes distance over traps without taking damage and is repeatable with a barely existent cooldown, linked to melee splash it breaks traps you land on, whirling blades with a shield on makes a trap field almost nonexistent, all flasks can have a duration bleed invincibility now, and the most dominant build for a melee is - as A222 said - A ranger who is easily able to get ondars guile and make projectiles a complete joke. Arc even takes out traps around a corner if you find yourself being tornado shotted around a corner with a trap field preventing you from jumping in. Traps are such a non-issue to everybody but you, man, learn to play against them.

what does deerstalkers have to do with anything? you do realize its just a 5L with no resists and average eva and you could get 6L nado on armor and 6L ptrap on bow right?


you do realize no decent melee that is not 2h actually loses to bleednado right?

i mean at some point if you're the only one losing to it you have to realize the problem lies within you maybe?

you guys should listen to hauntworld he is very experience pvper i know you all lld pro too but whatever haunt points out im pretty sure is correct whoever againts it is just defending the build are too blind to see that is overpower, i know that i don't lld but just saying from reading these comments. im not agree or againts anyone that is posting but from my experience playing with him im just saying that he is not just posting some random/bashing shit around.

Can you get his mom on here to tell me how good of a guy he is and how much he knows about lld too?

EDIT: Hauntworld is a good guy, without his mom telling me, I just disagree with his opinion on this.

I see both sides of the argument. Without good traps bow characters would get facerolled by melee. On the other hand 1 shot puncture traps are a little ridiculous, there shouldn't be a 1 shot mechanic in the game.

MY proposition: Make a unique helmet that allows you to see enemy traps.

First of all i never said i had huge problems against the build, and i already know what skill to use, what pot to use against it and everything else. If i wanted to ask for help i would have done it already but with my experience i can deal with most builds i encounter. I give my opinion about it because i clearly dont think the point blank puncture trap damage is justified at all.

Are you gonna quit telling me i dont know how to play against it already ? let me make it clear this time, i'm giving my opinion about the op point blank spike damage the traps deliver, not because i cant play against it. My LLD experience is not limited, as far as i know HLD and LLD is the same game, same skills, just less intensive damage and healt pools, nothing changes. Puncture trap point blank does not differ from HLD at all, so quit telling me i suck, how i dont know how to play against it when i clearly do. I'm giving my opinion about the damage, not because i cant play against it. I hope this clarifies it for you and stop judging my skills already as i am not asking for your help at all, but your opinion on the damage it delivers.

Especially with how easy it is to apply curses with vuln on hit i just really dont think it's damage is jutified in any way, you can easily 1 shot a thousand health with puncture point blank trap damage, how is that balanced ?

I'm giving you the plight of the bow char, the only thing you can do as a bow character is hope for a couple lucky trap hits, because bows are severely outclassed by melee. If you're being one shot by a puncture trap, it's because it's crit then, and crit is something that would need to be addressed - not point blank. Without point blank, noncrit puncture would be completely useless, mine takes like a half dozen traps to kill you with vuln on hit and pretty solid damage gear. Crit is the spike, not point blank.
