How healty is the Path of Exile player base?

I am just curious. I have been around since begin closed beta, at that time you could press a command and see how many people where online at that time. (Which was around 350-400)
I don't think that command is still in game, but I am curious, how many people are playing at peak? Unless everyone plays on steam, is there an other way to see this? Don't get me wrong I love Path of Exile. I am just curious. Is it still growing or declining? |

Active players, something around 114k.(this is going by some stuff chris has said recently)
Peek online players varies a lot, for instance atm not so many will be playing compared to the begining of the new league, some will be waiting for 1.4 Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

Inferring from dev comments, more people play off steam than on.
From my personal experience, this season has been great for player numbers, never noticed issues associated with low numbers, even when large numbers is really important (such as chasing down a really rare item on xyz). Well, PvP numbers being the only exception, but I feel that's more down to people being unwilling to spend time and resources to only get crushed by those with near-infinite resources and BIS LLD gear. Physically? Probably pretty healthy. I imagine most of them could lose some weight and get some exercise.

Players come back all the time. You burn out and leave, then realize the market for interesting games is extremely limited and come back again.
